Bigger worlds! More players! Blocks!
Minecraft was confirmed for the Xbox One yesterday at E3, spear-headed by 360 veterans 4J Studios. Currently, much of what MCX1 will bring to the table is being kept quiet, but behind-the-scenes discussions are, to say the very least, very promising indeed!
Minecraft began on PC, moving first to the Xbox 360, then to portable devices (iOS, Android), spanning well over 20 million players across the board. With their foray into the next-gen Xbox console, it is expected that even more players will join the best gaming community ever, and discover what the rest of us already know: that Minecraft is one of the most awesome games ever!
Details for MCX1 will be revealed in the coming days, so keep your ears to the ground as we bring you all the latest news!

I'd love to see Notch announce Minecraft for the PS4 and thus prove he's still the same old cool guy who opposed SOPA. Alternately, if Microsoft is holding him captive somehow, I'd like him to try to send an S.O.S. signal.
while microsoft is doing everything they can it seems to stifle their indie devs.
honestly, mojang should really look into options to move development over to ps4 where they'd get a much warmer reception.
cash is a cold and silent companion mojang and it won't seal the hole in that sinking ship.
Okay, nobody can voice their opions then since you care so much about having said it first.
This will end well.
Sorry guys I just cant help chucking that everywhere that "Xbox One" is mentioned lmao
That's fine, I guess. It's just that we all hope you realize that the Xbox One is doomed to fail for several reasons.
1.) Microsoft is not a trustworthy company by any stretch of the imagination.
2.) You are not allowed to own the games you buy for it. Instead they're more like the cards in an online trading card game. The cards aren't real, you don't own them, and the moment the game's creator decides it's not worth supporting anymore, the entire game ceases to exist. This is not the same as how Steam works on PC either, for reasons highlighted at the bottom of this article: http://arstechnica.com/gaming/2013/06/microsoft-details-xbox-one-used-games-always-online-and-privacy-policies/
3.) Sony has undercut Microsoft just like they undercut the Sega Saturn years ago. Indeed, since Microsoft has not learned from that bit of history, they seem doomed to repeat it. The Xbox One seems just as awkward and convoluted as the Saturn was, and it won't be surprising if it ultimately collapses under its own weight.
Number 2, of course, is the hot button people are raging about. I've heard some people say, "No, the first-sale doctrine doesn't apply here. There is no silver bullet for protecting used games." But maybe there should be so we won't have to rely on the mob justice that's been looming.

1.
MicrosoftMacrosoft decided too commit suicide, at least logic suicide with the Windows 8, than this!?!? If Runic Games makes Torchlight and Torchlight II for Linux, I WILL SWITCH TO LINUX FASTER THAN YOU CAN SAY "FORGE MODLOADER, BY CPW AND LEXMANOS" OR "SCREW TEKKIT, I HAVE FORESTRY" OR EVEN "SCREW FLOWERCHILD, I HAVE FORGE"!!!!2. Nintendo has a FEW good games, but most aren't that good.
3. Computer gaming > Console Gaming
Also, what logical person would play MC on the console, which doesn't have mods (I can't live with out my Forestry, TConstruct, Thermal Expansion, etc. but during the RP2 Shortage of Minecraft 1.3, I learned to Live with out RedPower2)
...Rant Complete
you already own an Xbox One.... *facepalm*
