It's Snapshot time! Builders in particular will be happy with this Snapshot, in addition to anyone who felt that the donkeys should've been useful for hauling around loot! Check it out:

ADDED FEATURES:

Added new stained hardened clay
Enabled access to the donkey & mule inventories by sneaking and interacting
New textures for Charcoal, Coal Block, and Lapis Lazuli
Made mobs spawn as groups again

BUG-FIXES:

Minecarts with Furnace consume coal in creative mode
After the last use of a bow you get a glitch bow that when dropped and picked up again duplicates
Coal blocks do not burn away
Blurred menu background textures

Be sure to get the new Minecraft launcher (if you haven't already), by clicking here, and selecting the launcher for your OS!

The reason the stained hardened clay does not coincide with the regular color scheme like wool is because it is created using a color overlay of the regular hardened clay block. Albeit strong, the overlay does not completely mask out the base color, and therefore creates the colors you see there. Mojang's post on the snapshot has the full view of the blocks and the regular hardened clay block for comparision on the very left.

Nevermind, the picture is wrong. However, if you go to the Wiki you can find the original color of regular hardened clay: http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Hardened_Clay

Wow really minecraft? Everybody want's stained glass but you decide to implement stained bricks?! I know I won't be using those for anything except decoration in a creative world.

I don't want stained glass.

Also, why do you need colored wool in survival?

Hardened clay is blast resistant material that you can color. Build youself a colorful blast resistant hut.

Yeah lol I posted it too. Wool mixes better with colors.
