That's right, the PC version of Minecraft has surpassed 10 million sales! Minecraft as a game continues to have a phenomenal level of success, with humble beginnings in the hands of Mojang founding member Markus "Notch" Persson, and growing over a period of years into one of the most successful indie game titles in gaming history, spanning PC, console, and handheld systems in record numbers. In addition, the recent changes to Minecraft in 1.5 - and future changes planned the game, including Mod API support, more adventure map options, and all sorts of customization options - Mojang continues to push the game to new heights, even as they get involved in the community, with everything from direct-feedback bug fixing to real-life renewal projects. With the recent TU9 update, MCX360 is hot on the PC version's heels, even as it introduces special goodies unique to XBLA gamers.
As promised by Jeb, a secret was revealed about 1.6, a feature many were looking forward to! What feature? Well...
Spoiler: It isn't pink withers!
add more paintings!!!!
think about it why post a picture like this as a hint when he could have said a random word?
On our server, when we find a village it's nerdgasms all-round, screaming, crying, skipping, pats on the back,
teabagging villagers, friendly banter boxing, a firework or two ... Then we burn it down... ._. After stealing their crops of courseThere's a difference between complaining ignorantly, which only aims to annoy, and criticizing rationally, which aims to improve what is being criticized. I've seen rational criticisms in this thread, and I agree with them. I don't see how horses should be added unless there's more to them than being faster than pigs, being an alternative to riding a pig, and having a portable chest with them, and I think they should focus more on polishing old existing features than adding more content at this moment. Not saying I "hate" new content -- I do like more animals, hostile monsters, underwater content, and, like enterthehole said, furniture for our houses. It's just that they should be more into polishing first.
It's like upgrading a PC. It's best that you have maintain and optimize the old hardware first before thinking about adding new hardware. And it's best that you don't waste money on new hardware for a purpose an old existing hardware already fulfills, unless you intend to replace that old hardware with it.
'Ya sure? I actually find the pigs rather uncontrollably fast especially after feeding them enough carrot with your Carrot In a Stick. The lack of an ability to make the pig slow down makes this more so. Or are you not aware of this feature?
I was thinking of the same -- pink Wither, and the girl in the pic is wearing pic if I'm seeing it right -- 'til I saw Jeb's Instagram which confirms the horse theory. Probably. I actually wish that there will be male and female versions of animals and villagers in the game. It doesn't make sense how the animals and human villagers in the game are freaking hermaphrodites... then again, a lot of things in Minecraft don't make sense anyway. xD
Still, I really like to think that there's more to this picture than the horse. Jeb has been known to post cryptic pictures in the past to reveal upcoming features, after all.
Trees aren't light enough to defy gravity and float in midair, either. LOL. Actually, you can ride pigs in real-life (the adults, anyway). They're not only strong enough to carry the weight of the average human but also strong enough to walk and run while carrying one. Apart from that, though, what makes Minecraft unique is its fantasy elements, not its realism. Being able to ride pigs like horses is a part of this uniqueness that many love. ;-)
