DON'T PANIC -- Regarding "Warning - visiting this web site may harm your computer!"
We have managed to identify the 3rd party, who is well known to be trusted, as the source of the script. They have been contacted about the compromise, and have removed the malicious script being served to not only Curse, but possibly everyone with whom they work. They are still investigating the breach.
Curse takes security extremely seriously, and has removed all 3rd party ad partners until the investigation is complete. We will keep you informed of the outcome of this investigation. In the meantime, we recommend you run a malware scan on your computer. You can run a free scan at http://www.malwarebytes.org/. We sincerely apologize for this inconvenience.
At no time was any information in our databases compromised - your logins, user info, and all other personal information is safe and sound! We will continue to monitor the situation, just to be on the safe side.
Bitdefender is well known for its product and has a VERY high rating. They even have a version for MAC.

Don't get Norton, there are actual websites that teach you how to hack norton users. And do not use free anti-viruses, like AVG.. avg users should do some research, they don't realize that it gives false positives on some stuff, and lets the virus in on other stuff. My opinion for being on windows was BitDefender. For mac, not sure, but there is the link above.
I'm not saying displaying warnings is a bad thing, I'm just saying the warning doesn't necessarily mean your particular browser is in danger. The recent Internet Explorer exploit comes to mind.
LOLZ
Mac has had AntiVirus built into the background since about 2007. Shh... It's a secret... because Macs don't get viruses ;-) Google it
This is one of the few justifiable upsides to adblockers ;-)
Yes i have adblock i'm not sure if curse is unhappy for people to use it though
Because Linux does not get them either. Because, like, 99.95% of all people use.....Windows(like me).
It's also why people invented....proper Antivirus software. And unlike most of the current generation, i'm willing to pay to never have to bother about clicking a link or downloading malware. if it's malware, my Kaspersky kicks it out long before it says "Download: 1%".
I virus scanned after getting the error message, everything seems cool. Don't let that happen again, freaked me out. >.< Any more of that and I'm getting adblock.
I run NoScript, and just ran an anti-malware and anti-virus scan and my machine came up clean. Doesn't mean there definitely isn't any nasties on it now, but it seems logical that noscript would have stopped arbitrary JS exploits from running.
seriously folks if you run firefox get noscript for it, its a godsend for keeping stuff off your comp
