That's right, the PC version of Minecraft has surpassed 10 million sales! Minecraft as a game continues to have a phenomenal level of success, with humble beginnings in the hands of Mojang founding member Markus "Notch" Persson, and growing over a period of years into one of the most successful indie game titles in gaming history, spanning PC, console, and handheld systems in record numbers. In addition, the recent changes to Minecraft in 1.5 - and future changes planned the game, including Mod API support, more adventure map options, and all sorts of customization options - Mojang continues to push the game to new heights, even as they get involved in the community, with everything from direct-feedback bug fixing to real-life renewal projects.  With the recent TU9 update, MCX360 is hot on the PC version's heels, even as it introduces special goodies unique to XBLA gamers.

As promised by Jeb, a secret was revealed about 1.6, a feature many were looking forward to!  What feature?  Well...

EDIT: Also the creator of Mo' creatures assisted them. THIS IS GOING TO BE AMAZING!

Horses are going to need some good riding mechanics, equal to walking i would say, not like them pigs... It will also be helpful to use items while riding our steeds.

am I the only one who thinks this is foolish? theyre taking the same path that jagex took with RuneScape: Kept adding stupid stuff to a game that was already really successful and made it an awful game.  With mojang adding all this crap (Wolves, horses, redstone update, etc) i fear this is going to happen...
[/quote]

The difference being that these features are implemented very well so far? And that Runescape is not a sandbox adventure building game? And that Mojang is not Jagex? :P

AW YEAH. It's John Wayne time!

(For those of you youngsters: John Wayne appeared in multiple cowboy/western movies last century. If you haven't caught on, I'm referring to the fact that: we'll be getting horses. Cowboys ride horses. John Wayne played as countless cowboys. Derp.)

Did...did you just say that the redstone update is crap?  Redstone has added so much to the game.  I'll be honest and wish they added new redstone feature in every update.

Remember, this is Minecraft, many people on the forums literally fap to ponies. But yea. Horses, really disappointing.

Wolves have been around for a long time, and have been a great addition to the game. I really don't understand how the redstone update has been a stupid thing to add. It really didn't change much, just made redstone things easier to make compactable and some pretty nice tools like hoppers and droppers. We'll have to see how horses do.....

All I can say is: Horses better have some nice varieties and be nicely breedable. Cannot wait.

Did we HONESTLY need horses?
Love is like a talking pony. First you're like "Oh cool, a talking pony,". But then the pony turns nasty and hurts your feelings. So you take drugs to get along with the pony.

im assuming (Whether its true or not) that you thought i meant all redstone is crap.  I know redstone has added a lot but daylight sensors? seriously? and trapped chests and weighted pressure pads? thats pretty silly to add I guess the redstone update isnt THAT bad but its pretty pointless.  remember this is just my opinion im not gonna take it to Mojang or anything
