Earlier, Jeb posted some teaser images that strongly suggested that we would be seeing various decoration blocks in the near future! The first image - which shows a zombie holding a wool block - was pretty mysterious, but the above-shown picture clearly displays skeleton heads along a wall. What other sorts of blocks do you think would be awesome decor? Tell us about it!

Either way, this update seems like it's focused on aesthetics. Lots and lots of aesthetics.
Wheat Blocks- They will make farms look more realistic. They could be rotatable like logs, so you can use them to make a roof.
Flamethrowers- You can activate it with redstone. Useful for dungeons.
Pianos, Harps, and Drums- You can use it to play music. Maybe we can use flutes, trumpets, ect. as portable instruments!
Tape Recorders- You can find tapes in dungeons. When you place a tape in this block, it will play the mob's sound when activated with redstone.
Paths- You can use dirt, sand, gravel, and cobblestone. It's a 3D block, but you can walk through it.
TVs and Cameras- Based off of the unused block in PE. When you place a camera, use redstone to connect it to a TV.
Computers- You can check the time and weather, but that's not the only thing; You can make your own websites, and all players are able to view it on their computer! If you don't like Multiplayer, you can buy blocks and items online. There could even be a database similar to Minecraft wiki, showing crafting recipies, mob behavior, and more!
Console- Simply hook it up to your TV. You can play minigames on it.
Coal- Similar to paths, but you can warm it up. Hot coal slowly damages the player! If you use redstone, the damage rate is increased!
Concrete- Mostly decorative.
EDIT: lol post #69
hmm... what would I like to see in the game?
well of course chairs, tables work well as pistons but what we really need is sit down chairs. nothing too complex, you right click it and it makes you sit like in a mine cart
lanterns, you could hold them and they would provide small light, and they could also be hung from the ceiling(something I've wanted that wouldn't work for torches) the would provide a little more light than torches also, but not as much as glowstone
landmarks, these would show up on maps with a special Icon
custom designable wool patterns
bookshelf's would be crafted empty and could store up too 4 books (written or blank) each replacing a quarter of the empty texture with the full texture
mirrors, these would be really cool to have, and would be a great decoration block.
any block could be worn as a hat or even a shirt? if zombies can why shouldn't we?
thats all I can think of now. thanks for reading!
And what's that on the right of the picture? Stone Brick walls?
SO IS SCHOOL
I really like the anvil idea. Maybe instead of combining two used tools to get one new one, we should use pieces of the tool's material to fix it. It should also not take away the enchantments. So if you have a really great diamond blade that taken a while to enchant, you can just take a diamond, and an anvil, and restore it back to new!
Also carpets/rugs could be fun, you could use grass or something in the crafting table to weave them together or possibly get fur from some kind of mob and then dye it to different colours. It would make floors a bit more interesting.
Window frames?
A ton of people have said tables and chairs which would be nice but probably wouldn't have any use.
I like the table idea more than the chair one though. the classic "stair-and-signs" approach makes people think more creatively but there is no way of actually making a realistic looking table. fences and pressure plates just don't look good
you could add a chandelier block and making string able to stand vertically as a rope or something to make nice lighting (no more glowstone monsters hanging from fences)
pebbles: 1 cobblestone or gravel makes 4 of them. could be placed around for extra texturing, running beside paths to make them look nicer and possibly thrown (half heart of dmg?)
I would also like to see some more redstone stuff please!!!
(p.s I may add more ideas)
Also, Couches! Crafted with any kind of wool, in a Stair shape. Acts similarly and looks like stairs, but right-clicking it will make the player sit. In order to make it work, place 2 couch blocks together and right-click it to sit on it.
