Earlier, Jeb posted some teaser images that strongly suggested that we would be seeing various decoration blocks in the near future! The first image - which shows a zombie holding a wool block - was pretty mysterious, but the above-shown picture clearly displays skeleton heads along a wall. What other sorts of blocks do you think would be awesome decor? Tell us about it!

you are the meanest person on minecraft! how COULD you put an ocelot head on your wall?!?!?!?!?!!?!!?!?
this shows skeletons, not creepers, so you don't know if creepers will be available to have their heads mounted on walls.
He must be a brony.
They're all jealous of cats.
I think there is more than enough things that help our survival; when you become insanely overpowered like me in my survival world, your mindset changes and you want to make your buildings cool. That's when the decoration comes in.
well heres my more "defined" if you will, list of decorations i would love to see
i have a few that others suggested so that declare my support to there ideas
i hope you will look on through this list consider a few ideas.
heres my thoughts:
One thing id like to add,
its not decoration related, but hear me out real quick, btw this is my opinion
ok so yes the flower pot and frames were a success. you can liven up your home
but did you notice the amount of posts that were just about the potatos and carrots? i believe most were. thats an indication that farming is still a fun and popular thing to do in mine craft. it doesnt really take away the feel of the game in my opinion. this next update seems to be about decorations, but i think you should make another one after that a farming update. more foods like tomatoes, onions, lettuce, bananas. i know id love that. i feel a lot of people would, but i dont know them so i can only speak for my self. anyone else like that idea?
I think they should make the GIANT a boss, it had so much potential and they never did anything with it :/
There are enough things in Minecraft for survival; that's why the main additions lately have been for decoration. What's wrong with decoration? You can do creative things with the decoration and pimp your house up dawg.
*Sandstone & stone statues.
*Seashells, sand dollars, starfish.
*More flower colors.
*Wool curtains.
*Sword Stand.
*Target board.
*Scarecrow.
*Dyable countertop slabs.
*Sandstone, brick, & netherbrck pressure plates.
*Walls in all stone/brick types.
*Sandstone fence.
*Lotus or waterlily.
*Palm trees, weeping willows.
*Knee-high coffee table (probably just use the bed model).
*Wooden drawers.
*Marble (green & white or black/white/grey).
*Passive decorative mobs (small fish, birds, dragonflies, butterflies, squirrels).
*Stained glass.
*Refrigerator (preferably with paper & magnets all over it).
*White sand. (darker than show, less grey than white wool, much paler than sand).
*Grey sand.
*Sienna colored dirt.
*Multicolored rock layers stone block.
*Seafoam colored water in tropical biomes. (Doesn't count, but tossing it in anyway).
*Skinny trees.
*Trees with yellow or red leaves.
*Skillet: Use to cook food & as a blunt weapon.
*Dyeable minecarts.
*Mail boxes.
*Picket fences.
*Window boxes.
*Hanging flowers.
Colored water will not combine with other water blocks, except with the "infinite water" Method. (between 2 water blocks)
Colored Glass should change the color of a light passing through
Colored Netherracks to make special lights (similar effect as colored glass but the light source which is fire would be the one that makes colored light.) Imagine making a dark dungeon with green or dark purple fires. (dark lights will not prevent mobs from spawning)
and ore related decoration blocks (like lapiz)
and well maybe some fences and stairs of everything you can think of, gold, diamond, iron, ....... etc maybe even lapiz and a redstone

- placeable sticks
thats all :33 if i have a new idea, I edit this post
I would love to have the ability to put picture frames on floors or ceilings too, since that would allow for rugs and more uses for them.
Not quite on topic but I would LOVE it if we could make chests send a signal into redstone when opened, because then we could have trap chests and other activities that could be triggered by them that I bet a lot of adventure designers would love playing with.
Also, just as homage to Indiana Jones... we should have a little idol decoration block. If you ever wanted to give it a function, they would be great for a block to place that would create a "all blocks within the radius of this block's effect are protected and can only be broken if the idol is removed." sort of thing that I saw some people doing with a mod on Bukkit.
A mirror? (may be problematic with the engine, I know... so doubt this will ever happen)
I also agree with the poster who suggested Hay Bales... although having slabs and stairs of hay for thatched roof designs would be great!
I would like to see iron blocks tarnish when water touches them, and tarnished blocks would rust when exposed to air, and wood blocks get slippery when water touches them, and slippery wood becomes mossy when exposed to air, just because it would add a lot to the interactivity and the look of the environment.
I love the interactivity that Minecraft's development has, and the community that has developed around this great sandbox game!
M~
Please keep doing the awesome job you're doing and ignore all of the negative comments up there!
Criticism is a great tool for everyone to learn from, but whining is not criticism. I honestly believe that the Minecraft team is doing all they can to add content in every way they can think of. The bottom line is that it isn't easy to expand a game in every dimension all at once. Minecraft is a constant work in progress; if they aren't doing what you want them to with the game just hold on. Mojang can only work so quickly with all of the ideas they have rushing in but they will do all in their power to add as much as possible!
Also: I like the heads! I would personally keep with the skeleton theme simply because I like the "dungeon" feel to it. "Trophy" heads are cool and all, but I see it becoming easy to over-use. It's a nice decoration..not a real solid feature for practicality as so many have said above me.
