Notch has just tweeted that 1.6 will be released tomorrow morning, presumably Sweden time.

He also mentioned that testing included some people from IRC, which should bring a more robust release.1.6 has many bug fixes, as well as some long awaited additions such as working nether, maps, and hatches.

As soon as 1.6 is released, we'll be sure to bring you a full update, so keep watching!

Hmm so what time is it in New York, when it is 9am in Sweden, for example? Are we 6 hours ahead or behind

6 hours behind.. As in Minecraft, the sun rises in the east, and goes down in the west ;)

so when notch means early Thursday morning, does it mean like 8:00am, or 12:00pm, for me at least 12:00pm is early because I don't ussually wake up intill 2:00pm( lazy school graduate with no job):P

So it will be out in the UK 1+ hour in CEST =D

I can see a 9am-11am time frame here in the UK

GMT -00
CEST +01

9am = 10am
11am = 12pm

CEST = Sweden timezone
