It's not as simple as only having one code base to maintain.
I'm assuminmg these changes to the client are to make multiplayer function better? Maybe they could have two versions of the client? One for multiplayer, and one for single player? It's not like the game takes up that much storage space, so having two clients wouldn't be much of a chore (from a user's prospective, not sure about the programmers), and those interested in multiplayer, or singler player, could have their respective playstyle preferences optimized.
Because it's been a nightmare to maintain. They essentially had 2 games to code, the single player and the multi player.
No. They're making these changes so they can support the game easier.
It will get better. There's a reason why they haven't updated to 1.3 yet, and now we all know it for sure: It's not ready. If you want stable, play 1.2.5. If you want new, play the snapshots. If you want stable and new.... sorry. They don't have that yet
Im getting this to, blocks have to be broken 1.5 to 2 times, break them once and you get the block some times, if you don't get the block wait 2 seconds and the block you just mined will reappear, now you can break it again and get you block....
i had to go back to w24 because of this, the game is simply unplayable
OS: Ubuntu 10.10 32Bit
Exactly. Why Jeb and the guys at Mojang deserve some slack, but at the same time they need our feedback. These snapshots are supposed to be tests, and this new snapshot just doesn't work.
I have that bug to, its annoying when the landscaping does that. It blows the mood
Yea, it felt like it went away after an hour of gameplay. I might of just got used to it but the NPC's still jumped around. Hopefully they fix it in the new update.
EDIT: I was able to break the blocks the next time I tried, however, this torch supports it. Therefore, I don't know if it is connected to the ssp lag or is a glitch.
why dont you relax and let them fix the bugs first
also i have been attempting to pause the game using the esc key with the default controls and it doesnt pause or bring up the pause menu.
