You Are Minecraft Map Available!

It wasn't long ago that the You Are Minecraft project wrapped up, bringing in over 90,000 unique player statues, all built by hand! A number of notable personalities took part, including team members from Mojang (Jeb's model in particular is quite a looker).

All said, the project was an incredible success, bringing in players from across the globe and uniting them in a single goal - to make your player avatar in Minecraft! Now, this amazing map can be yours - want to check it out up close and personal? The download link is below!

Digital Diamond - Minecraft Paintball

Steve peers over a nearby grass block, scanning the horizon for his attacker. He was caught unawares last time, but never again - this time, he was ready. His fingers reflexively clinch at the sound of a snapping twig, slightly crushing the powdered snowball in his hand. He looked around furtively - was it his foe? Seeing nothing, he resumed his dire vigil. Poor Steve never saw it coming; the impact of the incoming snowball was so sudden it knocked him flat on his back, long before he ever heard the sound of snow on his face.

Community member warchicken has come up with a clever, innovative take on a classic old game - paintball! Granted, you play using snowballs instead of paintball guns, but the idea is conceptually identical. Players set up on opposing teams - red and blue, respectively - and get loaded into a pre-made arena on the map, with the system automatically choosing the map to play on based on a number of different factors. Once players are set up, they are equipped with team-colored gear (the removal of which instantly ejects the player - no cheating!), and turned loose on one-another. A hit with a snowball means that player is out!
