Some points of interest discovered already:
- Possible TNT traps in the world
- Ender Chest (Sort of like a chest network - place two different Ender Chests and place items in either, and they will appear in any other Ender Chests you have placed. It glows a bit.)
- Emerald and Emerald Ore (used with Villagers)
- Made Buckets stackable.
- Added Snow to Creative Inventory.
- NPC Villages change style according to their biome.
- Stars are more realistic.
- They are now slightly smaller and slightly brighter.
- Changed Gravel texture.
- Improved Options menu.
- Added Pyramids.
- Added a second Golden Apple made with Blocks of Gold. After being consumed, the player receives 30 second Regeneration IV, plus Resistance and Fire Resistance for 5 minutes.
- Dispensers will eject Water and Lava source blocks (from buckets); Will also take water and lava source blocks if there is an empty bucket inside
Of course, with any update there's always a few bugs - some of the most relevant ones are listed below (take note of "old world corruption in particular!):
- Emerald Ore has the wrong texture.
- Loading a world from a previous version corrupts it.
- Generated structures are very buggy.
- New Golden Apple does not appear in the creative mode inventory screen.
- Villager Trading for items worth more than one emerald doesn't work if you place the emeralds one by one.
- When removing the last Ender Chest, no items are ejected, and you must place a new one to retrieve the items. (may not be a bug)
- Single player still thinks it requires server/minecraft_server.jar. A blank file with the same name can be used.
- When generating a superflat world, you will get chunk errors - there will be some chunks generated in default, and the other are generated in superflat.
- Stacked buckets don't pick up fluids. Instead, the fluid just disappears.
I quite like it, certainly looks more smoother than the old horrible one.
My sister found out, under the blue wool (or was it orange?) in a pyramid, a TNT trap is hidden away, along with a couple of chests filled with diamonds, gold, etc.
Likely land mines.
*steps on one right after*
Nooooooo...
I already know about that mod, I was just being humorous.
2 ways to find out
Go play the earlier Super Hostile Maps
Or Just focuss on the word "TNT" and the word "Trap"
Last snapshot had this.
Also, bug, when you logout and log back in to a world, you may have no chunks loaded, this is not a cache issue. it's an issue where the game can't actually load the chunks. Logging out and logging back in will sometimes fix the issue. if this happens to you, falling into the void will not do damage to you, as the void chunks are also not loaded.
Same thing happens to me, but now it wont even load the world, I just get some crash report.
If jeb would hurry up and get out of bed and go on twitter I could tell him about it (and numourus other people could tell him aboout it) and he could make a 12w21b that fixes it...
Lots of other people have been getting crashes due to this aswell x_x
Enderchest is great for SSP, screw Multiplayer. Joking.
Please add an Emerald Block like diamond/iron/gold/lapiz and give it glint particles so I can have a sexy room made of gemstones in my fortress.
The pyramids are fine the size they are. This way they can potentially blend into the landscape if you're not approaching from the front of them. Bigger and they're just a moutnain of sandstone with a small room inside.
I still want mummies or some kind of egyptiany mob.
Yea I'm getting the same problem! What the heck! i don't even have a server folder, can anyone help us out here? It seems like everyone is just discussing chests and textures
Gem ore resembles all the fantasy depicitons of massive gems sticking out of rocks.
Makes perfect sense.
1. Copy your minecraft.jar
2. Rename your minecraft.jar minecraft_server
3. make a 'server' directory in the .minecraft folder
4. Move the renamed jar to the server folder
You could always stack sugar cane by hand. It's just that it never grows pass three blocks~ So it's been in the game for a while.
I also found a good trade, one 'person' sold 22 wheat for a a diamond, and another bought 6 bread for a diamond.
