Today we went through an extended period of maintenance to perform updates to the forum, these were essential performance upgrades that have also brought some changes to the overall layout and functionality of the forum.
Please reply to this post including any bugs or problems you find with the forum, include as much information as possible to allow us to fix them promptly.
Thanks, we appreciate everyone's patience through the maintenance period.
I just find out that, when you had post something, just press the edit button RIGHT AFTER your post appear (don't reload the page or do anything else); Then, save the modification EVEN IF YOU HAVEN'T MODIFIED ANYTHING; Your avatar will then be saved for THIS POST...you will need to do that EACH TIME you post.
It's like if the edit button was like a confirmation button or something like that...

Wow...look like it doesn't work in this section of the forum?!? Wtf!
I would like to invite the exec who gave the final greenlight for this "upgrade" to come onto the site and do their best to explain exactly why it went so poorly and why they allowed it to drop with so many large and OBVIOUS problems still left to fix.
WYSIWYG editor locks all editing tools when switched into text-only mode, meaning you have to already know the BBcode you want to use because there are no buttons to insert it for you. If you're going to waste the time and bandwidth loading this thing, you can spend a little more to give us proper button functionality when "Pretty Mode" is switched off.
There is no "Spoiler" insert button, meaning newbies continue to post huge walls of text when asking for help with errors. Hiding this function in a long list in a pop-up under an obscure icon titled "Special BBcode" is not as helpful as you might think, especially in the Modding forums.
Search needs options to "search by post title", and "sort alphabetical by letter" (disregard non-alphabetic/non-linguistic characters when sorting) rather than sorting by pure character codes. Also, there is no relevance algorithm, and links from search still don't go to the actual post with the desired content.
In-window pop-ups block other functions of the browser window from being used; if connections die or the Javascript errors out, these pop-ups can fail poorly and in some cases refuse to close. Avoid them wherever possible.
The watched threads / content I follow page needs sorting options: Time of OP last edit, Time of last post to thread, By forum/subforum (sub-sort alphabetical by title), By title
Alternatively, the watched threads list needs to be separated by forum at the very least.
The same watched threads list should not require a user to enable the option to edit options; it is assumed that someone viewing the page is there to either locate a watched thread or edit their options! This is a waste of resources.
The followed content page gives an error when trying to view "Writ" content. (I have not followed any, and at the time none may have been in the system since it seems to be a new thing. Still, this needs to be a use-case that is checked for! You can't presume that content or follows will exist! Very basic coding error.)
Like pretty much EVERYONE has mentioned, pre-existing BBcode is not translated upon loading. I have no idea why. This is pretty much pathetic.
WYSIWYG editor eats delete-key presses when text is selected. This appears to happen most often when the selected text is near the end of a line, or crosses a line-wrap. Apparently a space outside the selected area gets deleted, and the text must be selected and deleted a second time for the delete to work.
Doubt I'll even try to use the forum now. Can't find a single thing, all links are screwed up. Still slow as hell. And I even doubt if the fools have a back up of the previous site to roll back to. Just another black mark in my book against Curse.
'Interesting' bug. Taking a link to this thread from the news post displays 'broken' avatars, however if you get link from elsewhere (I use 'Content I follow') the avatars display correctly.
The spoiler doesn't work on Google Chrome, just thought I'd mention that.
That's been an odd problem for some time, only a few people using chrome can't use spoilers - I recall enabling javascript sorting out the problem for most. I use Chrome and don't have any problems.
When I try to put a new banner in my signature it says "RAAAR YA CANT PUT MUR THEN 2 LINES UV TEXT IN YER SIGNETUR!!!" or something like that. Really annoying. Also spoilers have stopped working for me.

I'm pretty sure that was the old limit.
Just put everything on one line, using tags to break things up. like your current signature, you can put the image and spoiler tags on the same line, and they'll still wrap because spoilers need to be on their own lines. But, you still have only used 1 of the 2 lines in the signature.
And if what you want to do is more complex than that, then maybe whatever you want to say deserves its own thread

profile pictures and avatars don't upload and or update correctly.
