Install Minecraft Snapshot 13w09b
with the Curse Client

other files: minecraft_server.jar, Minecraft_Server.exe.


Here is an update to yesterday's Snapshot!  Keep an ear to the ground, as the 1.5 pre-release won't be far off now...

Bugfixes Aplenty:
  • crowdin.net: Entry entity.WitherBoss.name is missing – German translation is "Withern"
  • Self-Powered Redstone Lamp / Breaking a repeater with a piston pointing at a block won't stop the circuit
  • Potatoes are not affected by the Fortune enchantment
  • Items with NBT data do not stack correctly due to serialization
  • Cannot Drop Items in Creative Mode
  • texturepacks no longer work
  • Rail Duplication glitch
  • World crashes after a few seconds
  • blocks keep the redstone state when breaking a comparator that powers that block
  • Pistons can't destroy comparators
  • Crash with 512x texture pack
  • Fortune doesn't affect the drop rate of apples and saplings
  • "Pick Block" on certain items then switching to survival creates infinite or ghost items
  • When removing "Ghost Items" from the inventory, the number may be negative or zero
  • /clear with command blocks not working with armor that has been worn with custom damage values.
  • Minecraft crashes when a saddled pig you ride dies or when changing between rideable entities
  • Pressing Single or Multiplayer Button crashes the game
  • Mining Fatigue broken
  • Added an /effect command

Thats ALOT of bugfixes. this /effect command sounds interesing and I would love to know what it does.

Well, that is possible for more bug fixes but not the animation blocks did not fixed already.

Thanks for this snapshot.
But I notice a little -huge- problem: we are unable to craft a chest with other wood than oak wood planks. Same for craft sticks with planks that are not from oak. Probably other problems but I had not yet test.

Yesterday's update was a bit of a mess. This seems to have fixed it.

Lol, glad THAT got fixed. That's actually pretty convenient, because now we can get more Golden Apples easily.

Guys. GUESS WHAT. Potion effects on command!!!!!!! I'm serious, I just tested it. You have to know the status effect's ID though. Also you can't raise the potency above 4, unfortunately.

It also seems that they added a medium Smooth Lighting option, so that's pretty cool for users with subpar computers.

Haters, what is this? Mojang being lazy? Not enough bug fixes in minecraft? Late snapshots? Well here you go! A snapshot after the snapshot that fixes more things that the old one! This is a total of 19 bug fixes! But unfortunately you haters will still think its not enough :(  yay redstone update is VERY soon!!!

that answers my question of what the new command does. could be nice for healing everyone or giving certain buffs at random times. could even have a use in Sethbling's Super Smash Bros map

Confirmed as well. I went back to the previous snapshot. Fix 10 things, break something major taking the word "Craft" right out of the game

OMG never mind just found it under help freeking cool and works with comand blocks /effect @p <type of enchantment> [duration in sec] [strength of effect]

try this... /effect @p 1 60 4
so cool :) been waiting for this options

The FPS up in 13w06a - 13w09b are very unestable. (40fps - 2fps)

Other things are very good!
I'm very excited with the new command :D

I hope their fix with ghost items is not to remove stacks of 0 and -1, because those were really cool for custom maps.  They behaved as infinite/none items.

Mining fatigue is an unused effect that is the opposite of haste.
It annoys me when people don't read my posts in their entirety.
