Paper Minecraft models have been something of a hot topic recently, and this interesting form of real-life Minecrafting is only growing in popularity.  With that in mind, I went looking around for more awesome paper crafty goodness, and it just so happens that our friends over at 57Digital have the perfect app for this, called Minecraft Paper Studio!

Minecraft Paper Studio lets you print out and create Minecraft skins using their custom app for iOS:

Quick, easy, and awesome.

This is pretty awesome!  So, how does a player wanting to make their own Minecraft paper models get them?  Quite a number of ways, as it turns out:
  • Import a Minecraft.net skin by entering a username
  • Browse our collection of over 300,000+ community submitted skins
  • Design your own 3D model using the Skin Studio app (sold separately)
    • Optionally select a cape and a stand for your model

Once you have your skin, just print it out, put it together, and you're ready to go!  Minecraft Paper Studios is only USD $2.99 (GBP £1.99; EUR 2,69 €) right now, and can be grabbed in the app store right now!

I think it's a great idea! Wouldn't pay for it though, unless buying it as a gift for a friend maybe.

This should be free! $2.99 is a ripoff.

Thought this was a skin editor for android edition.
My initial thought was why doesn't Xbox have this yet.
Then I watched the video and that's pretty cool aswell.
I put my shirt on one leg at a time, just like everybody else.

Or you can just open your skin in paint on the computer you actually play minecraft on, and click 'print'.

$2.99 and purchase of an iPhone avoided.

THIS IS AWESOME! but there is this one guy that gave a review that i would like to rant on:

Customer Reviews

I thought it was creating it

It's soso

(translation: he thought the iphone would create the pepercraft model for him, therefor he gave the app a 3 star and called it "so so")
You sir, live up to your name quite well considering that you thought that your IPHONE would just grow arms and fold the frickin paper for you. this is your fault, you should have given it 5 stars... it deserves that! plus your stupid brain cant figure out that this is even better than searching for an hour to find the right paper craft photo from Google, then finding out that it is not the right size and have to do it all over again... this provides the easiness of minecraftpapercraft.com with added bonuses of size, color, and other! please reconsider your thoughts...

So?  Just use MSpaint or one of fifty-billion free image editing programs to resize it to the size of your choice.  There, you now don't need to spend $2.99 on a pointless app.

It would be cool if you could print directly from the iOS device...

...and improbable
Exactly!  Why is this even for iOS anyway?  You are already near a computer assuming the printer isn't a networked one.

You could get fingerprint, but $20 is not worth an app for $3 when you could do it free on your computer.
This sentence is false.
