Minecraft Gets Honors at GDC


The recent Game Developer's Conference (GDC Online) - hosted in Austin, TX - passed out awards to numerous games for outstanding achievements. Only two games took home more than one award, and Minecraft was one of them! Earning honors for Best Community Relations and Best Live Game, the indie-developed masterpiece definitely stood out among the game crowd!

The GDC Online awards focus primarily on Online titles; with recent contenders representing "a massive range of genres and studios", it's very exciting to see Minecraft continue to make a strong, lasting impression on the gaming industry. With the launch of the game (as well as Minecon) near on the horizon, Mojang's masterpiece creation is set to hit the ground running, already having over 3.5 million copies purchased!
