Jens and Notch havejustannounced that the 1.8 pre-release .jar is available for public testing. It is important to remember that this is NOT The final release of 1.8, and is still extremely buggy. If you find any bugs, or need support, please join the #minecraft channel on irc.esper.net using your favorite IRC client!
NOTICE: This version will only work if you've paid for Minecraft, all the more reason to step up!
Make sure 1.7.3 is all downloaded and you can login (Yes, you need to be a paid account.) Then, download the minecraft.jar for the client, and replace the one in %appdata%/.minecraft/bin with the downloaded one.
Then you will need to execute your minecraft.exe or your bat file that you use in case your RAM is too low.
how do you download it it always comes up as some blank page with random writing
right-click the client jar and then click save as. You need to put it into %appdata%/.minecraft/bin (Windows, I don't use Apple stuff, and never will.)
PERFECT!!!!! I LOVE IT!!! the only thing im have not even a really big problem with is that when ever i go to my home and i have alot of chests in my house, they look like they are in a shadow, but it doesnt really bother me, actually. But i can still get into the chests to... And the other prob i have is that when ever i go beneath the lavas surface i cant really see any thing... But i really dont care cuz i like to build secret rooms beneath the surface of lava thats why i go under lava... BUT! ITS AMAZING!!!! WORKS PERFECTLY FOR MY COMPUTER!!!!! Normal 15-20 fps too!
Found a bug, when in single player if you try to smelt something (I was trying to smelt sand) It crashes with light gray "Saving chunks" and then crashes with a blackscreen, exited out and re lanched and was fine, but when I tried to put sand in my other furnace it crashed again..
