Minecon is coming up fast! It is set to be held at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas on November 18th and 19th, to celebrate the full launch of Minecraft. Registration and ticket purchase will be available next week - be sure to get yours fast when they do! Notch made it a point to emphasize that this will NOT be the end of development for the game, stating:
“We’ll just go back home and keep working on Minecraft directly after MineCon, but it does represent a huge milestone where the game finally leaves beta, something we’d never been able to do without our fans, so it feels natural to celebrate it with them.”
In addition to Mojang, a number of the staff from the forums will be in attendance as well! Will you be attending Minecon? Check out our poll!
I would totally go there... if I possibly could. But such a trip to Las Vega would put me on the street... I wont be able to enjoy minecraft if I end up as an homeless bum... So I wont be going... regrettably.
But on the other hand, I would very much like to follow the event on some live stream of some kind. Will there be any internet coverage ? Like they do with E3 ? If there is, I'll be there watching everything. Wishing I was actually there for real.

Wish I could go, but I'm poor and can't afford a 10 hour drive, and I'll be in school so even then I wouldn't be able to go. :sad.gif: :sad.gif: :sad.gif: :sad.gif: :sad.gif:
Setting a deadline can make you rush and not be able to add all the features. Also, what if some incident pops up and you have to work on 1.8 update for an extra month or something?
