Recently, some new policies have been put into effect regarding the submission of new videos for the forum. While we are extremely pleased at the large number of submissions we've received to date, it is our hope to host only top-quality videos moving forward, so that everyone is assured to have the best experience possible. When submitting a new video for approval, please keep the following guidelines in mind:
? Videos should have a clear subject
? No advertising! (This includes, Look at my server videos, or GSPs)
? Videos should refrain from causing topic overload. If we have lots of other videos detailing the same thing, then videos will be denied, unless they offer something substantially new or different. Example: How to build a piston
We offer these changes to ensure the best possible viewing experience when viewing videos hosted by the forum, and look forward to your submissions!
So how long can I expect before my video gets approved and stuck with the others? Assuming it's legitimate, of course :smile.gif:
It would seem that the new policy means only videos that are going to be a Digital Diamonds get approved. At least the only videos since then that I have seen approved turned out to be Digital Diamonds.
If you actually put the effort into your videos then there shouldn't be a problem with getting it submitted. People aren't looking at the video section as much as they used because the quality of the vids have bit a bit lacking. I for one am happy with this change. Makes people put more effort into videos and makes people want to look at the videos section more knowing they will be better quality. I know I will.
I don't upload every one of my videos to the forums. Only my best
My videos never get uploaded. I try!! I don't think they are crappy videos. But come on I need to have machnima director quality with all those fancy graphics and epic intro, my videos are decent. I think this policy is too strict,
will they actually tell you whether you're video is declined or not, cause mine just say has yet to be approved
No, they won't tell you. If it isn't approved, which is common, it will just vanish from the 'pending' section. If it is approved, you'll be able to see it in 'manage videos' and everywhere else.
