1.8 Updates: More Goodies

In a recent interview, Notch hinted at some exciting potential additions to the Adventure Update, including Melons and pumpkins which grow from a central stem to a maximum size; animal farms, the ability to help (or harm) NPC villages as desired, and the likelihood of boss monsters in the randomly generated dungeons.

I read the interview. Notch did mention the likelihood of bosses, but not in the way it sounds. He said they weren't that far in the coding yet.
