UPDATE: Notch confirms separate team is working on the Minecraft for XBOX Live Arcade. More details to follow later.
The game, based on the images shown at the press conference, retains its classic graphics style. One huge reveal for the console port, however, is that it's coming complete with Kinect functionality.
This looks to be a big week for Minecraft, as the mobile version will be demoed on the Xperia Play during the E3 Expo as well.
If you'd like to hear it yourself, it's around the 1:30 mark.
Be sure to follow Curse's E3 coverage this week!
+1 for that.
Also, I love coming back to this thread. It's a great read!
On-topic: Totally pumped to get the Kinect out again! :smile.gif:
Minecraft + X-box = :smile.gif:
if you don't like the people on xbox i wouldn't think you'd have to play with them.
anyways, i think it's good for netting more money for minecraft production. i've got an xbox and i'm interested if the controls will be decent, if so i might get it just for a change. i've already got the PC original, i'm just going to get the xbox version for different controls. the biggest problem i think you guys have with it is that you're making it out to be something you don't even know if it's true or not but then it's glued into your mind that it's going to be horrid.
Wow no controller!
Good job notch
Why? Because we're generally better gamers, not total dickheads like you appear to be, and are usually free of hackers?
Hmm... you would think that after 52 pages these PC idiots would finally realize that a different team will be working on the port to Xbox, so the PC development will continue. Judging from your avatar, you enjoy Oblivion. The same people who ported Oblivion to PS3 are porting Minecraft to the Xbox 360.
:huh.gif: PS3 Owner:Wait, what about us?
MOOOOOOONNNNNEEEEYYYYY!!!!
I didn't believe forums for PC games could get any dumber, but it happened.
There's no reason for that and you know it. I play on PC more now that I have a decent one, but I still like consoles. Problem?
And that's different from the millions of posts raging at notch about 2 iron shears and how they'll never be able to make a bed? I don't think so.
