YouCube: A Massive Meetup of Displaced Conventioners
With MineOrama effectively on permanent vacation, approximately 3,000 people were left with open plans this weekend in New York City. With barely 3 days to plan an impromptu meet-and-greet, YouCube nonetheless put together a remarkable event for displaced attendees, with live music, signings by Youtubers and Livestreamers, and T-shirts printed exclusively for participants.
Of particular note, this event was assembled entirely by Youtube and Livestream personalities, with support and logistics from server hosting companies, making it a 100% community-driven event! They showed - in record time, no less - just how quickly the Minecraft community will come together to help each other, and proved once again why the Minecraft community is one of the best in the gaming world. You guys are awesome!
