Pocket Edition Submitted, Not Released Just Yet
A new update for Minecraft: Pocket Edition (0.3.3) is in the pipeline, but has hit an unexpected snag in the process. It is not currently known when it will clear for release, but in the meantime, there are exciting things on the horizon for future Pocket Edition updates - things like beds, chests, and the very real possibility of wheat and bread! It is not currently believed that bread is indicative of a hunger system, but rather a means to gain health back more quickly.
Speculation of TNT and creepers has come to the fore, but neither are currently confirmed at this time. We will keep you posted on developments regarding the most recent patch submission, and future updates.
Want to Try Out PC Minecraft?
Users have long awaited the means to try out the full version of Minecraft before buying it, just to see if it suits them. Now, the means to do so is finally at hand, with the PC demo of Minecraft! If you would like to try Minecraft before deciding to make a purchase, you can play the demo by registering an account, and downloading the Minecraft game client. Then, you just log into Minecraft with a non-premium account, and you will see an option to play the demo mode. This version of the game is 100 minutes long, or five in-game days. Not only is this useful to see if you will enjoy the game, but it is a great way to make sure your PC can handle the game as well!
Keep in mind, if you have downloaded the Minecraft client prior to August 1st, 2012, you will need to download a new version of the Minecraft launcher in order for it to be displayed. To do so, simply delete your old Minecraft launcher (and only the launcher), download the most recent version from Mojang's site, then start the game normally. Easy!

Minecraft has tripled in registered users but very few purchases to compensate!
Is it possible people make multiple accounts to keep using the demo rather than buying it?

I've watched both shows so far and its a neat concept. But interviews alone don't make for a very interesting video... While watching these, I think there could be other cool things they could go on MineTV. Here's a few things that could make the show more exciting:
game show
on the scene interviews on popular servers
more camera angles
on stage minecraft tutorials and new feature demos.. ex: a live trip wire demo
weekly news
just a thought

Pocket edition development seems to be going faster. Can't wait until the new version gets released.

We'll see if we can't incorporate some of your ideas into the show, thanks for your feedback.

seems incredibly pointless to repeat the demo over and over. Minecraft is about creativity and every time you make a new account you will lose all your creations...

Have Minecraft running, then open your Task Manager and go into Processes. Right-click java.exe, go to Set Priority, and set it to High. This simply lets the game use more of your computer's resources- those which are just 'laying around', waiting to be used.
You can also- and I heavily recommend this- install a mod called OptiFine. This mod basically optimizes the game, making it easier for your computer to run. There are many tutorials on Youtube for installing this. If you can't figure it out from there, then I wouldn't recommend trying it, because if you don't know what you're doing, there's a slight possibility of messing up Minecraft to the point of you having to reinstall it.
There are of course the ingame settings which you can change around a bit. Set your graphics to Fast, and turn down your Render Distance.
If this says anything, before OptiFine, I used to have to play Minecraft on Fast graphics, with the Render Distance on Normal. When I went into caves, I had to turn it down to Short. After OptiFine, I could play with everything else set exactly the same, except the Render Distance- I could set that to Far. Also, since I had an okay processor, I was able to change the Chunk Update.. thing. It's defaulted to 1 update per frame, and I changed it to 5, so my world basically loaded instantly. I also turned on Dynamic Updates. All that does is force more chunk updates while I'm standing still.
So yeah! I kinda doubt this post will get out to anyone who will actually use it for its intended purpose... but maybe it'll help some of you who already have the game.
Happy gaming!
