I just asked a few minutes ago on reddit I'm aware that you are no longer in the development of minecraft but is it up to you to release the source code and now that microsoft is involved with the xbox version will the source code ever be released ? as stated on minecraft.net " I will release the game source code as some kind of open source."

I would ask where 0x10c stands on dev status! He can't change anything in MC, so that stuff would be useless to ask him about.

Any chance you could add Herobrine as an OPTION, but not make it a forced thing? It would make the game a lot more funner and interesting.

Sometimes I forget that Notch actually made updates for Minecraft alpha to beta, because Jeb took over.
But It's nice too see him still being mentioned on here.

Mine would be are there any mods that you like and would like to see in basic game as well as any plash for new biomes and mobs and why in the world do I keep spawning in a snow biome 90% of the time?

Oh and could you add something to hardcore. Life select where you can choose from 0 respawns to say 10 at max. That way you have a little bit of stress on death but not 1 slip and its over.

Remember, people, that Notch is not involved with Minecraft anymore by choice. Unless you're asking about that decision, you're not going to be asking a productive question. All of his answers will either be, "I'm not involved any more, so have no opinion." or "I'm not involved any more, but I think this. But it's up to Jeb."

Ask him about Mojang and 0x10c, and wait for Jeb's AMA for the Minecraft stuff.

Oh who am I kidding everybody's going to ask Minecraft stuff anyway. Maybe he WILL give some good answers.

First, can someone help me get set up for this? I've tried getting involved with the earlier "Ask Anything"'s and gotten nowhere.

Here's my question(s) (all about the balance of the XP system/mob farms):
(0: Yes, I know he's no longer the one that would make these changes. Which is why these are all, "If you could, would you?" questions.)

1. If you could easily (slightly harder than trivially) prevent mob grinders and farms from continuing to spawn mobs, would you?
2. If you could restructure the XP system so that exploring and mining gave the dominant source of XP, would you?
3. If you could redo the drop of XP orbs and rare drops to encourage direct damage by players in a fair fight, and discourage "suffocation traps" that reduced mobs to half a heart, would you?
4. If you could come up with a different, alternative source of mob drops (note that I think gunpowder and spider eyes are currently the only source with no alternatives now), would you?
