The Ultra-Dense Cannon

Many cannons have been made in Minecraft over the years, and they have come in a wide variety of shapes, sizes, power levels and directional versatility.  Still, one cannon stands out above the rest - Conundrumer's Ultra-Dense Cannon!  Touted as the "cannon to end all cannons", this gigantic monstrosity of redstone, pistons and explosives has an incredible operational range of 160km (142km vertical), and a staggering 6,804 blocks of TNT!  It does have one quirk, however: it will only work in 1.2.5 Minecraft!  Due to mechanical changes to the piston in 1.3, this cannon will no longer operate in the new update.

So, with the Ultra-Dense Cannon, we give the 1.2.5 update a huge sending-off.  You could say that it is going out with a bang!

I agree. I'm not even a big redstone and explosions enthusiast, and I found this awe-inspiring. Excellent choice of video to spotlight.

Holy cow.... That cannon is insane.... I wanna test it on a pig. *animals were harmed in the making of this idea*

That Conan show was just sad.  He had like one joke about glasses, over and over, and the laughter was recorded.  It was obviously edited down from 20-30 minutes of play.  In 20-30 minutes, those were the best parts?

Also, I don't get it about the pistons.  Why does the cannon use pistons?

It used pistons to push all the TNT into one spot to make for an even bigger bang

Condenses the TNT into a 1*1 block for the combined explosive effect of all dat TNT on a very small area. Generally used in most super-long range cannons.
