Pocket Edition Updated

An update for Minecraft Pocket Edition is now out! The list of updates includes the following:

  • New controller option – Split Touch Controls. This is option may be more suitable for those with bigger screens (hello tablets!). You got a cross hair and the right half of the screen lets you rotate the camera. Touch to place block, hold down to remove blocks. Just like you did before Posted Image
  • Flying is changed; ascend/descend by sliding from the center button to the up/down button
  • Pigs are added to Survival Mode
  • Bug fixes

You can update your game at Google Play (Android) or the App Store (iOS).

Sweet, I saw the avatar items yesterday and my buddy bought a creeper :P.

I can't wait for the XBLA version of Minecraft to come out.

I heard Minecraft XBLA Edition will be out after two days..
In my country today is the 15 day of march and i heard a rumor saying it'll be out in the 17th day of march..

I hope they consider bring Minecraft to the ps3, There losing A LOT of money only putting it on the Xbox. And if they think I'm about to go out and buy an Xbox just because of this. There flipping joking.

Nobodies expecting you to go buy an xbox. It will most likely come to PS3 at a later date, until then just play on your PC. Problem solved.

Then don't buy an Xbox. You already have it on PC and the 360 version isn't going to be any different. Get over yourself.

It will not be coming out for PS3 ever. Unless Mojang some how gets out of their contract with Microsoft. Currently the contract they signed is a exclusive deal with Xbox which means no other consoles will be getting it.

Most exclusivity contracts are for a set period of time and most game developers lost interest in porting the game to other consoles once that period of time is up, so while its not likely its possibly it could come to PS3.
