It wasn't long ago that the LEGO® CUUSOO project received overwhelming support from the Minecraft playerbase, and LEGO® heard you loud and clear. At that time, they agreed to move Minecraft-themed LEGO® projects into the review phase, where it would be decided if it would be a workable product. Now, that wait is over! The team had this to say on the subject:

LEGO® CUUSOO said:

We're happy to announce that the Minecraft project on LEGO CUUSOO has passed the LEGO review and we are now developing a concept that celebrates the best aspects of building with the LEGO system and in Minecraft. We can’t wait to show it to you—but it isn't ready just yet. These things take time, so we appreciate your patience. More details are to come.

It is expected that the first sets will be revealed in the near future. What kind of Minecraft projects do you think would be best in LEGO? Tell us below!

Awesome. What better reason to get back into Lego after all these years?

And before anyone says it, the plural of Lego is not Legos, it's just Lego.

Minecraft is going to be like cars and not cool any more after the lego are bags coming out then toy and stuff like that stop this

sure I like LEGO but this is going to be the begining of a new kid toy

A Lego set that I'd like to see would have to be an Enderdragon, made from Bionicle/ Hero Factory pieces.

Or maybe Creeper and Steve minifgures inside a Forest?

Unless you havn't noticed, the majority of Minecraft players are 10 to 12.
So Minecraft is a kids toy/franchise already.

I heard you like building, so I built a theme of building blocks into your building blocks.

I'd like to see bags of generic blocks, Minecraft is about freedom to build, I'd rather have it be like a random grab bag of blocks that i can build from there. Pre determined sets wouldn't really work because not much about minecraft is predetermined.

Lego with Minecraft finally!
The type of set I would like to be released is a base board that contains four different biomes together.
Or an NCP village set!
or a nether set, or all the neat things in Minecraft.

I think the best way to go would be to celebrate the creativity of Lego AND Minecraft not with set kits, but with sets of minecraft pieces that you are free to build up in any way you choose. Pretty much a big box of random minecraft legos

The majority of Minecraft players are 10 to 12?! Ummm, I always liked to think that Minecraft is the game for those who are 16+ and are afraid to be caught playing with toys!

This is really awesome, epic and all other words that express the greatness of this. LEGO and Minecraft coming together is a dream for a LEGO-collector/Minecraft player like me. :D
