Back in December, we took a look at a little program called Mineways, which allows players to extract anything from small models to entire panoramas from their in-game worlds, and print them using a service called Shapeways. I had a chance to sit down with Eric Haines - the man behind Mineways - and get some insight about the program itself, and some of the ways players can use it to get the most out of it. We cover everything from the history of Mineways as well as its future.

I seriously doubt that Mineways has licensed the Ryker image from Paramount. A line has been crossed.

The thing is that Minecraft blacking out isn't at all unique. It's not the most popular site to have been in the protest by a long ways. 3D printing of things in game is fairly unique.
