It's smart for notch to do that but we do not know what some of the items and blocks are so it will be hard to edit them to our liking

In the top picture at the right, it looks like saplings might die? Because it droops down, but it might not be a sapling :/

I see beef, that's about the most exciting new thing on it. But then again, Notch said most of the updates for 1.8 are gameplay differences, not necessarily adding a lot of new items.
