Digital displays have been around almost as long as redstone itself.  There have been numerous devices made which use redstone torches as a form of LCD screen - however, these displays use lightstone, pistons, and some incredibly innovative circuitry to fashion customizable displays!  teapoted2, the creator of these devices, gives us an informative walk-through tour of these wondrous creations, not only showing them in action, but explaining how they work in detail.  Enjoy!

Digital Diamonds is an ongoing look at Minecraft-related videos that have been submitted to the Minecraft forum video section. We'll be selecting memorable videos and those resonating with the community to share with everyone on the front page.

I was really good about everything and wrote names down on a notepad file on the second monitor as well, just that I had written "on minecraftforum" and when I started to say "diamond" my brain just froze because I wasn't even thinking there was a word before diamond.

You crazy inventors! I bet your socks don't match either. Still: kudos.

Couldn't you do a 2x2 instead of 3x3 piston grid by using repeaters against the pistons instead of the torches? Example:

:Red: = block w/ redstone
:brick: = block w/ repeater
:stair: = piston
Overhead:
  :: :Red:  :brick:  :stair:
  ::  :Red: :brick:  :stair:
  :Red: :Red:  :brick:  :stair:
  :Red:  :Red: :brick:  :stair:

Side:
:: ::  :stair:
:Red:  :brick:  :stair:
:: ::  :stair:
:Red:  :brick:  :stair:
