Today we bring you a fascinating creation by MusicalWolfe: a fully functioning music box, made with pistons, note-blocks and redstone!  Never missing a beat, the machine plays Beethoven's "Ode to Joy" with a rotating sheet of glass and redstone.  Sit back, relax and enjoy!

Need to build a second one so the playback speed can be doubled.

Pretty cool, but does the wool actually have any reasoning other than looking cool? Is it on a timer, or does the wool have something to do with getting the notes to play? That's what I'd like to know. Still, pretty cool.

I know it:
they give power to all note blocks and when a glass comes it goes out and when a wool comes it go on.

Like so:

----| /----o

- Redstone
| Block
  nothing
/ Repeater
o Note block

see? when a block comes it goes on and when glass comes.

----U /----o

    /\
    |
Red stone can give power to glass so the note block don't play.

U Glass

see? :D So you can change the wool blocks to anything that can have red stone power.

Redstone current cannot travel through glass, but it can travel through other blocks.

Place a door between 2 walls, and on one side, put a switch or run a current to a block that is touching the door, when you run current to the block, it can travel through and power the door.

The current doesn't actually go through the block, it powers the block. Anything touching a powered block can be triggered. This creates the illusion that it is going through the block.

Glass cannot "hold" the current though. So a break is created when a glass block enters. Once wool is placed in the way, the wool becomes charged, so the touching note block is triggered.

Dangit. I wanted to be the first.
I had a similar idea (perhaps the same) a couple of days ago on the 3rd, I even made a sketch (quickly, so no judging on it's quality or my handwriting!): https://plus.google.com/103359532797878915218/posts/REjvRXmWNph#103359532797878915218/posts/REjvRXmWNph

Good job on getting it done first, however. I was going to cheat and wait until Wireless Redstone was updated to 1.7 so that the note blocks could be hidden in a house far away without having to dig huge tunnels.
