I've updated to 1.4.6. ModLoader version should work fine. I've also created a Forge version, however, there's an odd bug that I can't figure out that prevents Forge from finding the main mod class, even though it is there. If anyone wants to try to fix it, I welcome comments.

yes i totally agree, can we at least have some kinda update from the developer that there still is a forge version coming?? ppl on my server a making HUGH mistakes cause they can't see what it is that they have selected anymore!!! I love this mod so much and I check this thread probably 5 to 10 times a day to see if there has been an update yet... it seems like it has been a long time since we heard anything from yetanotherx, so i just want to know that he is still working on this.... Thank you very much for such an amazing mod/tool!!!

I've just installed the 1.4.2 version on in my minecraft after installing first hd texture pack support with the HD patcher, and then modloader, then this. Now whenever I select anything in worldedit, instead of it appearing as shapes, the points appear in the chat.

Like when I selected a polygon region
    s|polygon2d
    p2|0|-344|-93|5067210
    p2|1|-448|72|5067210
    p2|2|-275|118|5067210

And it doesn't show anything graphically.

A friend that uses the same mod doesn't have this problem, which is very wierd..
Any help at all is very appreciated as this mod is very useful as a server admin.

when i try it doesnt show the CUI and it gives me purple text after all the WE messages (ex. Pos1 or 2). Order of installing mods:
    Modloader
    WorldEditCUI
    OptiFine
    Rei's Minimap

Your server needs the latest version of WorldEdit installed.

I am doing the upgrade on Zombes mod pack, I will check into this as I think it could cause conflicts with other mods.

Thanks for the dev build. I was able to test it with my usual - though small - slate of mods; although I had to change the loading order. My usual loading order with Magic Launcher is:
    • ModLoader 1.4.2
    • Zombes-6.5.1-1.4.2-BETA
    • TooManyItems2012_10_28_1.4.2
    • [1.4.2]ReiMinimap_V3.2_05
    • WorldEditCUI-1.4.2
    • OptiFine_1.4.2_HD_U_B3
However, given this configuration, WorldEdit selections would not display. Several experiments later, I've come to the conclusion that Zombes is overloading something in ModLoader upon which WECUI depends. I was able to get the above slate to work by loading Zombes before ModLoader (with a minor conflict).

Interestingly, I've never had a conflict interaction between Zombes and WECUI in prior releases, but given that Zombes itself is still in beta, I would expect this to resolve itself as a more stable version is released. For now, I've taken Zombes out of the picture and have been running WECUI and my other mods with no problems.

Is this compatible with liteloader as well, or only modloader? Thanks for the hard work you are putting into this! It is appreciated!

Edit: Also, if its only compatible with modloader, is there a way to put in modloader without it derping with liteloader / "Keybind/Macro Mod"?

I will note that this build does have most of the problems with the prior releases (Zombe's incompatibility, liteloader incompatibility, etc), and that's because most of them will be fixed in a completely separate release. It's unfinished, though, so I'm pushing this update out now, and will release the better version when it's done.

No. No one has to ask. It's not updated to 1.4.2 because ModLoader isn't updated yet. Saying "someones gotta ask" is completely false. I know the update came out. My hands are tied until Risugami finishes updating.

I just have one additional question though. Why add an extra entity to the game, you don't need something like that to render lines and/or other stuff.

It's how the code was written when I inherited the mod, I'm not quite sure how I'd implement it other than an entity.

So people are still having those lagspikes when that move -> tp bug is fixed?
I'd say make the tp'ing optional, and see whether or not that fixes anything.

Yetanotherx, I could profile a bit and check out where the lag is coming from if you want, but after that pullreq i haven't been having hiccups any more.

The problem with making TP optional is that if the entity isn't teleported, then the game starts to bug out at high X/Z values, as it's trying to render an entity that's thousands of blocks away. I've isolated where the problem exists, but if you want to give it a crack, that would be much appreciated. I'll link the dev version which you claim works in my recent post, see if that fixes it.

Yes. I am aware of the lag issues. This is an incredibly difficult problem to fix, as this issue hasn't existed prior to 1.3, and I have yet to find the cause of the issue, even though I've isolated where it occurs. Unfortunately, I don't see any fix for the issue in the immediate future. My suggestion is to create two minecraft.jars, one with CUI and one without it. This lets you use the mod when you need it, and not have the lag spikes when you don't. I would also suggest trying the version by GuntherDW, which some people have had moderate success with.

Regarding Forge, no, WECUI is not compatible with it. While Forge attempts to be compatible with all MC mods, it is not compatible with everything, and CUI has falled into that pit. Adding Forge support would require a massive change to the core of CUI, and that's not really possible unless it's re-written from the ground up.

Magic Launcher is also incompatible, as it does not search in any subdirectories of a zip file for mod classes. To solve this issue, simply unpack the CUI zip file, and zip the classes/ directory. This new zip is able to be loaded with Magic Launcher and any other mod loader.

I am aware of the issues with this mod, and am working as hard as I can to fix them. With schoolwork, regular work, and other IRL stuff, work is progressing slower than I'd like. I'm here to let you know that I haven't abandoned you all, and I understand your frustration. I also use CUI when playing Minecraft, and the lag spikes do get annoying. Hang in there, be patient, and I promise you all that it'll pay off!

Currently, starting with 1.3.*, WE CUI and Macro/Keybind don't play nice. Is there a way this can be fixed? The mods are extremely handy together, being able to see what the macros are changing, and it sucks not being able to use both.

I'm not sure where that's happening, I'm using them both fine together. Make sure you install them in this order: ModLoader, LiteLoader, CUI, and then Macro in the mods/ folder.

Using MCPatcher, this is the only one in there (everything else on/off, doesn't matter) and I also don't get the lines of my selections.
Tried a whole lot of different settings and stuff but just wil not want me to get it to work....
    Tnx for any solution!

I don't believe you can use MCPatcher to install this.

Could you please, please make a Forge ML compatible version? I have a lot of mods which use Forge and now I can't use this mod with those together.
Sorry if it is asked already, I just want to know.

It's in the works. It's more difficult than you'd imagine.

Hey guys, when you use WorldEditCUI, do you see the purple lines when you do selection? Because I don't see them, the mod is enabled with no errors, but idk what it causes this. Does it needs the lastest dev build? Because on servers I play, I dont see the selection.

Imma test it with the latest dev build, and I'll edit the post if it fixes the issue.

Edit: I used the latest dev build, no work. I see the OP says 5.4, but idk why in 1.3.1 one it worked. I don't know if its my mods I use which it causes this or something went wrong with CUI.

    The server needs WorldEdit 5.4.

Do you think there'll be any chance you could add a utility for say, facilitating more complicated WE commands?

Perhaps when the mod API comes out. At the moment, rendering is so screwey in Minecraft that it's amazing that this mod even works. I'm hopeful they'll add some way to make rendering a bit easier. I've tried to implement block previewing for commands like //paste, brushes, and whatnot, but at the moment, I can't get them to work correctly (I'm also not an OpenGL expert). Hang in there, I've got plans. :)
