Alright, so I'm trying to install this because it looks really cool, but minecraft keeps crashing before it even starts. From what I've been able to decipher, java can't find a class in the nether folder called mod_MetallurgyNether. And it's true, there is no such class file with the same name in the folder of the nether part of the mod. Any idea what's happening?
EDIT: I have a feeling this might have to do with which "mods" folder to put the mod in. Should it go in the one in the main minecraft folder or one that's included in forge?
EDIT 2: I think the folder is irrelevant, forge seems to recognize the mod either way. I took out all the mods except metallurgy core, but minecraft still wouldn't start because it can't find the class mod_MetallurgyCore, which actually exists. I'm obviously not qualified to fix this...
I understand your frustration, I have the same issue. But you paid for the game in the state you bought it in. You aren't legally entitled to the updates. So though it sucks, it is entirely fair.
Actually, I'm pretty sure when I bought minecraft (I'm pretty sure), it said that every beta update would be free. Paying 30$ for a new OS is not free, even though it is not directly related. I'm giving in and getting snow leopard over the weekend, but I'm still angry at mojang for breaking their promise. You know, I relly hope they DID say those updates were going to be free, because if not I probably look like a complete idiot right now.
I'm having the same problem as everyone else, and it's driving me insane. I thought this was just an issue with the pre release, but I suppose not. Notch and jeb should definitely release a version of 1.8 with toned down graphics, I don't want to have to go out and buy a graphics card just to play a game that is literally a bunch of blocks! I don't care that it's still, in beta, I payed good money for this game and I'm angry I have to pay for a so-called free update! I really really really want to play 1.8, this isn't fair!!!
*facepalm* 1.7 maps will have all the new items and terrain generation and such, just only in chunks you haven't explored. And you can bring melons back to 1.7 chunks, and they will grow fine.
On topic: That's a awesome farm design! It would be cool if you added sugarcane and mushroom farms, too :smile.gif:
Wow, that's awesome! I love to see this completed! Just asking, can you release a non-btw mod version when you put it up for download? If you can't, that's ok, it's still awesome!
Wow, this is awesome! I'd love to have this in game! Reminds me of that expansion pack for spore, where you could make your own adventures. Anyway, nice idea!
Backing up your entire .minecraft folder is key, especially when modding or otherwise hacking the game.
Don't know why more people don't think to do this, but then again I'm an IT guy.
That IS a smart thing to do when modding minecraft.jar and such, but backing up your whole minecraft folder just when modifying some new world you just generated? That seems a little redundant. I'm not sure what happened though, I just switched the terrain files with the nether terrain files, in the same directories you said. But I stuff like that is bound to happen when messing around with code and such. Anyway, once again, the pics are really cool, even if I can't replicate them!

EDIT: Yeah, that fixed it. Thanks!
