As Lentebriesje points out you can easily define the new custom id and then use the Global Operations screen to replace the old custom biome with the new one. It's true that you can't currently remove the old custom biome from the Biomes panel, which is annoying, but should not be problematic. I'll add that functionality in the future.

Let me reprhase myself. Would it ever be possible to change the id of a custom biome. Currently the ID that you choose initially when adding the biome is the one you're stuck with. Problem is, with mod updates, etc. ID's have changed. So I'm currently left with a couple of custom biomes that no longer has any use, and neither can I remove them.
It could be that this is already a feature, but in that case I don't know how.
Good to see this getting its own thread so that's it's easier to follow the updates. Going to be using this together with millenaire on my server. Could you possible make it so the rice works cross?

But WhichOnesPink in taiga biomes plains sometimes generate in-between with its tropical beaches. Is there any fix for this?

This mod really needs a cold plains / beach combo for its cold zones. It transitions so badly from taiga -> plains +hot Beaches too often.

It used to work before as far as I know, I remember using COG with my map earlier.
