I love the 16x machine sides. I'm the author of the GT Zederrian Technology, and while a lot of the textures I've made are unique, some are not (your TE machine sides/top in my pack). I'm looking to make those textures unique to each other and more Ic2.

Nobody could do anything. By installing Gregtech, you agree to all of his terms. There's nothing 'illegal' about it. You would get laughed out of the courtroom.

Sure he has some questionable changes, but its completely up to the player if they use his mod or not. He doesn't need permission to change other mods, but he has asked anyway.

That's like going to the store and buying a knife and intentionally using it to cut your finger off, then trying to sue the knife's manufacturer.

I'm having an issue compiling it. When I try to build the project, I can't find the output .jar. It has no errors, I'm confused. Anyone have any ideas? Where are the .jars put after you build?

    ../TinkersConstruct/build/libs/

I've been watching the mods progress on Forgecraft and I have to say that I will praise the day when all the new toys are released. I want to try the crossbow and shuriken.

Some of them feel a little strong but they're all great. I personally like the crossbow, but the crossbow is definitely not a good option if you're faced with a large horde (if you go the strength route and make the limbs out of metal. You can also make them out of an organic material for good draw speed but the damage gets lacking.) You can wind it up and have it at the ready just in case.

I feel like the Dagger needs some love, though. The damage is garbage and when you throw it you actually lose it and have to go pick it back up. It should have some cool bonuses, like if you've been crouching for 3 or more seconds, your next dagger stab does a hell of a lot more damage ("sneak" attack). Like the Cutlass, it should also have a chance to crit on any swing.

If everything worked and it compiled, it put the working .jar file inside of the build/libs folder. Look for TConstruct-1.7.10-1.7experimental.dev.jar. Simply put that into the mods folder in an instance of minecraft (with Mantle) and you should be good to go.

There are 4 jars there. The one you want is the first one.

    Edit:
To anyone using the steps: remember to report any bugs you find to the github tracker, but make sure that it already isn't reported. The more things we find, the more polished and faster the release can be.

Do you have git installed and in your system path? That's really the only problem it could beand even then you don't need it if you just download the git zip. Do you have a JDK installed?

It's literally 3 entries in the console. Come on guys.

git clone <ticon github url> --branch experimental

    gradlew setupDecompWorkspace idea

    gradlew build

Enjoy ranged weaponry. Report bugs to the experimental issue tracker. Don't use it on a real world.

Neat aesthetic idea that I've not seen done before that I stumbled upon when making my infusion altar:

Looks funky with blocks or large items as they clip the jar.

Tried to scan obsidian, and it crashed. Now cant re-enter my world without crashing agian right away. :/

I had the same problem, and fixed it by using INVedit to remove the thaumometer (the crashing item from the crashlog) from my inventory.

Btw, did they remove the TNT cart from the mod since vanilla has it now? If not, they should.

Why remove it when it's far superior?
Would you rather pay 5 iron or 5 wooden slabs for a one time use ordeal?

A few months ago I took a journey to teach myself java as a hobby using no deep tutorials, and only learn through reverse engineering, and I've finally come to a point where I can function on my own. A big thanks to you guys, who probably don't think of having open source as too much of a big deal, but you're helping more people than you know.

Turns out I wasn't out as long as I'd thought, so I finished up the textures for the rest of the wires.
    --
Added textures for every insulated wire color, and the red alloy wire to be a little more 'metallic'.
To me, it all feels together a little too 'woolen', but I couldn't figure out any other way. If it matches the bundled cable too much I can change it if needed.

    And the download:

Sure thing, I'll start work in a few, expect the download by this time tommorow. Glad it's liked.

I noticed the Z-Fighting as well, but it occured after I was already done, because it only showed up on certain cardinal directions. Good thing it's a non-issue.
