    posted a message on Xaero's Minimap [Forge 1.11.2 | 1.11 | 1.10.2 | 1.10 | 1.9.4 | 1.9 | 1.8.9 | 1.8 | 1.7.10]

Found your world map mod, loved it but i couldn't figure out how waypoints & options in it worked, perhaps using the notepad rather than some ingame GUI?,

But, that's not why i'm here, i decided to install the minimap mod to accompany your wonderful world map and found that my game immediately crashed when loading a world up, i'll paste my crashlog here and hopefully this can be resolved :)

Waypoints are available with the minimap mod.
And the crash is caused by version incompatibility. Update world map to b1.9.

Oh, it seems that Minecraft is now crashing without World Map. Which is strange seems it worked perfectly fine with this mod config a few days ago. Sorry for making you worry about something thats not your mod man.

That's weird, it probably crashes only sometimes and it coincidentally didn't happen when you removed the world map.

Yeah, that's how I'm currently running Minecraft. Every mod (including Minimap) without World Map.

Can you add another mod instead of the world map and see what happens?

So I deleted the world off my computer and loaded a normal, non open terrain gen'ed world. Still crashed. Report: https://pastebin.com/hb5YZ4mp

Then I tried running it without any OTG or Biome bundle .jar's or folders, and it worked perfectly fine.

After I placed the OTG folder and .jar back in without any Biome Bundle .jars. Crashed again. https://pastebin.com/WLDbJhHG

This is strange, theres no worlds even in the OTG folder. Do you think this compatibility issue will be fixable? I rather need the World Map for the vast OTG + Biome Bundle terrain.

    Thanks

Can you test once again if it crashes when you keep all the mods expect the world map? Because it makes no sense for it to cause a crash like this.

Hello, first of all thank you for creating your minimap mod, I've been using it for many years. Recently I heard about this mod and thought I'd give it a try. But every time I attempt to load a world the game crashes almost instantly. I'm currently using Biome Bundle and Optifine along with your two mods.

I'm running Minecraft 1.10.2 with Forge.
Here is a screenshot of my mods folder: http://i.imgur.com/RToFcaK.png

    Pastebin of error log: https://pastebin.com/QjdUbwmd
The problem has only happened after installing the world map mod.

    Things I've done:
Clear out my mods folder and only run both minimap and world map
Used an older version of the world map (1 version behind most recent)

Updated Minimap and Worldmap to the absolute most recent version supporting Minecraft 1.10.2

I'm just kind of sad I can't use this cool mod :'(

Does the problem disappear after you remove the world map? Because it's the Open Terrain Generator crashing, not sure why yet.

I can't get the full report for some reason, it won't respond to me clicking the link. I have found that editing the txt file directly is a simple work around for the problem, but trying to do it in-game just results in crashes. I haven't fiddled with any of the other files in the mods, I'm afraid of ruining something.

I can't reproduce the crash. Can you check the log files for the full crash report?

Hello I am experiancing a problem. I am trying to add it to the latest pixelmon release.

    Here is my settings

    settings

These are the only two instances of xaeros minimap on my computer, and I have tried both of them. They are 1.10.2 as you can see. I manually selected the latest one to add to the pixelmon profile.

    Downloads

However, every single time, I get this error when I start up the game.

    error

Do you have any ideas why Pixelmon/Forge thinks im using the wrong version? These are absolutely the 1.10.2 downloads.

I don't have a clue how and where to find the 'fml-client-latest.log', but if you can direct me there I will gladly paste the contents.

Thank you for this mod, a minimap is necessary for me to enjoy minecraft haha.

I have no idea. It works fine for me. Maybe you downloaded it from a 3rd party website, because "1.11, 1.11.2" will only appear when it's custom set by me. And that's done only in the 1.11 version.

Are the minimap slime chunks right?

I mined out an area but slimes aren´t spawning

    Please Help!

They are, you can use an external tool that will show you the same chunks.

Oh, correct. I forgot there was an ingame way to move waypoints to another set. Should be fixed in the next update.

Loving this mod so far. Finding things I never knew where there. Is there anyway for the map to show the entire world or do I have to fly over the land in order to get the detail to populate?

    Thanks again!

Right now you'll have to discover everything first. But in the future I might add a button for singleplayer that will load everything from the save files, if the player wishes to do that.

    @xaero96

I just reviewed the german translation file and added missing translations. I also translated the WorldMap *.lang file to german.

    Minimap translation(1.12.8)

    WorldMap translation(1.9)

Thanks! I'm not adding translations to the world map just yet though. But it'll be useful when I am :)
I will probably use a better solution to collect translations too. If you have recommendations, feel free to let me know.

Tried searching the thread for this problem but couldn't find it, apologies if it's a repeat bug question.

I just recently realised that one can sort the waypoints into different sets so I've been editing old waypoints to put them into new sets. The problem is that when I do that the game crashes. I get this message:

Is there any way for me to fix this myself? Or a different way for me to change the set the waypoints are in?

Thanks for this mod btw, it's awesome!

(If it's important: other mods I'm using are your world map mod and Inventory Tweaks)

Are you editing the files? Can you send me the full report?

I've tried that and had no luck, I checked the waypoint lists, they were really gone. Somehow, this only happened to my siblings that are connected to my LAN server, but I'm not quite sure why it would just get cleared for no reason...

Because the IP is new every time, so the mod thinks that it's a new server. There's a function to transfer waypoints to a new server/world.

That is exactly what i did. Newest Forge for 1.10.2 with the newest available HWYLA version for that. I will test it again only with those mods installed on a clean version. Right now i am on Foolcraft.

    Edit:

Tested it only with HWYLA and your mini and worldmap. After removing the worldmap the flickering ends. Here is a short video showcasing it https://mega.nz/#!oNYkhYDY!j1y9IlxngX2e1rDQBgE3oaNMbHZncm0puPSKKZiDthY

You don't even touch the world map mod in the video?
EDIT: Tested it myself, and it does happen with the world map loading. Interesting...
    Thanks for reporting!
