Here's three bridges from my survival world, all three are connected but pretty far away from each other.

The world you created here is amazing, it reminds me of my survival world: Taming Jungle ( http://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/show-your-creation/screenshots/1602990-my-sp-survival-world-taming-jungle-a-lot-of ), only you've actually written a real story around it very impressive!

That's awesome... Thanks for sharing, it's always cool to see other people's things.

P.S. You can check how many hours you've logged into the map/game by looking at your statistics on the pause menu. Though depending on if you've updated or when you created the world it might not be at all accurate.

    Again, nice job.

Thank you, I appreciate it! The statistics say I've spen 4.42 days on the map but I have no idea how accurate that it with all the updates and moving to new computers.

Great job! I love the depth used, and how you not only focused on buildings, but realized how important the landscaping is too.

    Thank you!

That's really an insane amount of work, builds, and thought put into your world. I like how you have weaves some of your builds into the terrain, and how your taking great thought into what you will do for improvement. Just out of curiosity, how long have you had this survival world up? Thanks in advance, and great job!

Thank you! I'm glad you like it!

I'm not sure how I could find out, as far as I know minecraft itself doesn't keep track of the time spend on a map and the date it was created. I could look when the save file was created but it's no use since I'm using a backup map. I switched PC and I accidentally deleted the world once, lost a few days of work because of that and gave myself an heart attack. My point is that the save files are a backup made of a backup at this point, the date at which they were created won't be the day I started this map.

The only thing I can think of is that I started this map not very long after the update that added the large biome option in world creation.

This is really amazing! Like -freshmeat I really like how you built with the terrain and considered how it contrasted with the natural environment. Once again, really cool. Any chance of a map download?

Thanks, unfortunately not now, I'm very busy with a lot of other stuff, but if you check this topic again in a week or something I'll see if I can get a world download working.

I think you have achieved a very good integration with the terrain in you build. The architecture itself has a nice, calm layout that is far more realistic looking than most of the overdressed "castles" shown around here. Props to you, and show us your progrssion.

Thanks, I didn't finish anything big yet, I just finished the gardens at the Sandy keep but I'll just combine that with my next update. As you can expect from a SP survival world, progress is slow.

I'm glad that you enjoyed my more simple building style, I'm planning to build a real palace sometime in the future, that will probaly be a lot more dressed up than the purely military keeps you see around my map now. But that palace will probably take a lot of time before I even start the foundations, cutting down large parts of the jungle is hard work but very satisfying to see once it and the building is finished.

Impressive amount of work. How long did all of this take?

I didn't keep note of the time but you can assume that it took a very very long time.

Hi everyone I'd like to show of my main singleplayer survival world in Minecraft, first I'll show you the map of the world. The texture pack I use is ChromaHills ( http://www.minecraft...th-stone-pg193/ )As you can see my main base is in the middle of a very large jungle and expends towards the west, I've marked the roads in black, otherwise it would be impossible to see them. The red lines are my plans for a future road that will connect the desert outpost to the main keep.Speaking of which, here is a picture of the main keep. This is the first real building I made in this world, it is build on top of the hole in the hill that I used as a base before this. It used to stand alone in an open field in the middle of the jungle but I gradually expanded it over time.

Inside this spoiler you'll find a general tour that introduces you to map as it was when I started this thread. Any updates I'll put in other spoilers so that you don't have to scroll through the same pictures twice.

    This is the eastern gate.
It didn't take long for me to realize that I had no interest in hilly jungle to the east of my main base, but as I started building a wall to mobs out of my farm (after I had room for some real farms I replaced it with the pond you see now.) I realized that I still needed a way to get to the western jungle without having to demolish a part of the wall, originally the gate had piston doors that would keep the mobs out but I needed the sticky pistons for other projects and thus blocked the gate with cobblestone for now, I removed it for the screenshot. The smithy, it's not that impressive it's located to the west of the main keep. The view from the main keep to the north, that tower also functions as a small gate.looking to the north-east from the keep, the building you see houses the Nether portal. My Nether outpost is still a work in progress. These are my stables, the building sits between the Western gate in the north and the apartments to the south. The apartments, I still need to build the interiors, I wanted to make it my main living quarters but I abandoned that because of the distance between the building and my storage underneath the keep. The farms, you can also see the eastern gate and the beginning of the great east road. The animal pens, the first is filled with sheep and connected to the apartments, the others are filled with cows and the last one is empty for now. The empty one is the most southern point of my main base. The western gate, far more simple than the eastern gate but much more important to the map.The great west road as seen from the inside, pretty boring. You get nice picture when you stand just next to it.Here you can see the that the road splits in two, one continues to the west and one goes to fortress Forestview. Why did I build a fortress in the middle of the jungle?Skeleton XP farm, they die with just a single hit. This is the view from fortress Forestview.A small bridge that ensures that travelers can walk the west road without having to climb.I may build a few houses on the side of the small lake and into the mountainside, if I do that I'll have a reason to upgrade Forestview to a keep.Instead of clearing the mountain of jungle I choose the simpler option and dug underneath the mountain.A view from the end of the tunnel looking back. And a view from above the end of the tunnel looking onto Sunset lake. One of the 32 small pillars that hold the bridge network of Sunset Lake above water. The middle of the bridge network, also called The Point because it appears on the map as a single point in the middle of the lake .The great pillar that holds the point above water. This is why the lake is called Sunset lake.A picture of the point seen from camp mountainside, north of the point. The houses of camp mountainside. The camp is large enough to deserve it's own keep but because I'm not yet sure If I want to expand the camp I waited with building the keep.South of the point are only two buildings but they are large villas both with private beaches, I might change the buildings into warehouses and build a port at this location. The great east road continues after the point, there are also two houses build into the mountainsideThe largest single building on this map has 19 rooms and is fully furnished. This is the Farmview keep, it watches over the frontier canal that acts as a border with the wilderness and connects Sunset lake with Desertside lake.Looking towards the point from Farmview keep. The other side of the keep, The bridge is still unfinished and I need to fortify the other side of the bridge. The reason why the keep is called Farmview. You can just see the bridge in the desert from here, the road that will connect the bridge with the great west road will probably start here. The desert bridge, as you can see I've used a different style than in the jungle here, that is on purpose. From the desert bridge looking at the sandy keep.A nice angle of the road that connects the keep and the bridge. The sandy keep from up close, I'm going to build gardens where I'm standing now to make the sandy keep really feel like a jungle kingdom outpost. The keep from up close. You'll probably wonder why I build a keep in the middle of the desert, for that answer you'll need to take a look inside. The stairs leading down. What is this?Just a small...Portal.This is my main storage, there are 46 double chests in use right now.My mine, dug right next to the keep, the small door on the right connects directly towards the storage. And some boring pictures of the inside of the mine.

I hope you enjoyed the tour of my survival world, I think I succeeded in Taming this jungle.Maybe some of you can offer some advice on my building style?
