Why am I interested in this?

a) I'm bored.

There are no well curated communities out there which I can curate myself from the start. Minecraft is not only a game, but an art. I want to be able to go out and have an adventure with others more or less from the very beginning, and look back and say "Welllllllllll. That was a total waste of time but now I can 3D print this nation I built with people."

Knowledge on minecraft, plugins, etc: well aware of internal minecraft architecture, modding, and debugging. Plugins? That's a matter of reading for 5 mins.

What exactly was the screening process for finding experienced builders?

Blaze you're white listed and the server is up as it always will be. Lemme know by PM when you get on. Eastern Canada means our times should match up.

I'm whitelisting the server for now so only papaya and myself have access. I need some time to set it up 100%. this isn't a hamachi server. it's a dedicated server (and low latency at that) the machine's also going to be upgraded in a few months to something... significantly more powerful so those graced with enough skill can push more blocks with voxelsniper/worldedit.

voxelsniper is unavailable right now because it's slightly... broken. -.- anyway. that data. i asked of you guys. PM me, post it here, anything's good

this is kinda random but the server should be up very soon. can everyone just message/post their time zones here? i need to get a gage of a few details here, as well as hierarchy and etc. and please decide on a domain name. I'll be stress testing the server in the mean time as it's a virtual dedicated server. there's another one running alongside it on the same machine but it doesn't seem to be a problem so far and that one's a forge server with 56 mods.

Hey! I'm vi66r [IGN]. I run a bukkit and forge server (privately) myself. I'd love to join a new server with open staff positions. Along with the plugins cloggerdude mentioned, you might also want to get vault, lwc, and dynmap (that last one: only if your setup can handle rendering images while players explore). [why?] - I have experience in coordinating large builds on servers. I'm also a regular minecrafter and I'm looking for a new community that's just started. Sometimes (almost always) i'm a stickler for rules (good at moderating), and as far as build skill? why hear from me? give me the opportunity and i'll show you what I can do i also do programming (ruby, python, java, c/#/++, BASIC, getting into haskell), modding, and graphic design so shoot me a message if ya want. I'm usually on from ~8:30/9-12/1:00. depends on how much work i have from school/college. it helps to unleash the creativity and lax the mind from hours of calc and code.
