I have MC Server 1.18 running on a Raspberry Pi 4 server. I can access it locally just fine, but nobody outside the network can access it. Port 25565 is open according to port checkers, but I still can't access it either way. It's a brand new RPi4 setup. Is there anything special I need to do on the server, or the Pi itself to get it to 'accept' that port?
So, sometimes minibosses don't drop the key credit. What is the mob id to spawn a miniboss? We've done two dungeons so far and can't complete them because they aren't dropping keys properly.
So, I just realized Aether 2 has SMP support. I've got the Aether 2 Client installed (as far as I know, it has the menu and in-game interface and all that)
I've got the server running... But the Aether Portal just won't work (5x4 glowstone + water). I feel like it's because I have the Aether 2 Mod installed incorrectly? I don't even know. Here's what I do, from top to bottom.
Get minecraft_server.jar 1.5.2
Open the server jar, inject MCForge files, inject Player API, inject Player Render API
Run the server to it generates the files, then drop Aether 2 mod zip file into the /mods folder.
Is some of this out of order? do I need to run the server before the API stuff?
Still need help on this issue. Anyone have any insight? A brand new created server doesn't seem to work either. I definitely have my ports forwarded. My only thought is that my router isn't ... doing it correctly.
No, you need to make sure that the IP you set in your server.properties is the ipv4 and that the port in the same property file is the same port that you forwarded on your router/firewall.
I think you misunderstand. I was just explaining what that 58xxx port is.
I normally don't set anything in the "server-ip=" section. Is that something new in 1.5.2?
Also, I tried both my internal, and external IP in the "server-ip=" section, and neither helped. It actually made things worse.
To be clear. My first server's port is 25565 based off server.properties file. My router is forwarding 25565 on 192.168.1.2 (TCP/UDP). Yet I cannot connect to 68.xx.xx.101:25565.
Yet obviously it's trying, since my server can SEE my computer attempting to connect on these funky ports (now up in the 60xxx port range).
I have 3 servers that I have hosted in the past for me and a few friends. I haven't done so in a while and was putting them back up for play.
All three servers worked perfectly fine as of 1.5.1.
I updated them all to 1.5.2 (Just replaced the minecraft.jar, as I have in the past). The server starts up normally.
My computer's internal address is 192.168.1.2. I forwarded ports 25565, 25566, 25567 (one for each of three servers)
When I fire up minecraft though, it can't find the servers. I'm putting is (xx's are my actual ip) 68.xx.xx.101:25565 and it can't find it. HOWEVER, on my server console, I see this:
java.net.SocketException: Connection reset

2013-06-13 02:24:03 [INFO] /192.168.1.2:58373 lost connection
First, why can I not connect, and second, whats up with that weird port? If I let it sit, that connect request happens every few seconds. Sometimes the port changes, but it's a strange port every time. Usually in the 58xxx area.
Notably, if I put in 127.0.0.1, or 192.168.1.2, it finds the server just fine and I can connect. Which... doesn't really help my friends. Unfortunately, I'm going away for the weekend and was HOPING to have this up tonight. But this is just baffling me.
EDIT: According to IPChicken, the 58xxx number is my "remote port" which seems to be constantly changing. Is this part of the problem? Also, I created a NEW server just to test, and it has the same issue, so it's obviously an issue with my network/computer rather than the server itself.
Hey guys. Just popping on here to let you know I am still active and fixing minecraft maps (Over 2700 now). I do not check the forums often (maybe once a month). If you need map help, please go to MCSaver.net and fill out the simple help request form. It's easy, it's free, it may just save your life.
I'm actually looking for something to view the actual .nbt files of Pocket Edition. I have the files (it looks like it uses the old pre-mcregion format)
Hey guys. I need some help with the forum community and everyone that uses Minecraft PE.
I run MCSAVER.NET, and have for the past couple years been fixing minecraft maps for Mac and PC. However Minecraft PE I have found runs off a slightly different method of saving files.
I currently have no way to accurately view Minecraft PE maps on my PC, nor can I get access to the NBT data accurately. Does anyone know of any tools to do so? The current NBTEdit and NBTViewer tools do not seem to work for Minecraft PE.
Just a reminder, I don't often check the forums, but I am very much still fixing maps daily. Just check the first post and go to MCSAVER.NET to get help.
EdenR: If I haven't already fixed your problem, or you havent, email me (you should have my info). It sounds like I may have inadvertantly left it on the wrong mode. I can fix this.
Shinfirumaru: Read the first post, and send it to mcsaver.net
nemodot: You removed the download. Also, replacing level.dat with the _mcr file is actually a bad idea, since that reverts it to the old 1.1 stuff.
Penguinsinthedesert: Replied via MCSaver email, still waiting on response.
Dawnshalo: I wasnt able to reproduce the problem, however I ran it through the hoops anyway. Hopefully it resolves the issue. http://www.mediafire.com/?xpcdyo9o9yoei7i
Fwaky: I'd love to fix your world, but the file you uploaded is ... not your world.
NOTE: I RARELY CHECK THE FORUMS. IF YOU POST HERE, YOU LIKELY WONT GET STUFF FIXED. GO TO MCSAVER.NET IF YOU WANT TO GET MAPS FIXED. IT GOES DIRECTLY TO ME AND I FIX MAPS DAILY.
