I have been building a custom console out of a computer lately, and ever since then, I have been trying to get Minecraft to become compatible with my controller. I have been quite successful, too, except for when I launch the game through the Minecraft launcher. I have tried to bypass the launcher entirely, but that seems unnecessarily hard. Any suggestions?
Note: I have been using the program JoyToKey in order to remap a few keys, mainly enter, to my controller. Please keep in mind that I don't have a lot of free buttons to remap keys to.
Interestingly enough, it looks like I'm having the same an issue with some new mods being added to my custom mod pack. It looks like Grimoire of Gaia 2 is causing the problem. Does your game crash after you play the game for a little while?
I am creating a map where I want TNT to explode without breaking any blocks but damaging people (like a creeper when the gamerule doMobGriefing is off.) I also don't want to use water for the TNT.
I know, but to fix your problem go to the link provided and just add the server files from it to your .minecraft folder.. and the snapshot, and you set to go. It will freeze for maybe 15 seconds (give or take 5) but it loads...

you should know that when this happens, it can mean that you have deleted the minecraft.jar or the other valuable things in the .minecraft folder.
