First off, I'd like to say that this is an awesome mod!
But I think there's two things that would make it better:
- A configurable, or at least larger, sound range for the stargates, as they can only be heard up to 8 blocks out or so. From the TV series I get the impression that they're much louder, but even when disregarding that it does feel a bit odd that I can't hear my gate dial or open when I'm in the control room, 12 blocks away.
- A sound for an open stargate (the watery event horizon sound). It isn't a very important feature, but it'd be a nice touch.
There is a really old mod that does this (like alpha-old). I've been waiting for more paintings to be added into the game for a really long time, always wondering why they're not there in the first place because of all the empty space in the paintings_kristoffer_zetterstrand.png file. But every update that has come so far has been without any new paintings.
I hope Mojang implements something like this, or at least fills up the remaining gaps in the painting file (so I support). But before that happens, I am looking forward to your mod!
Slightly off topic, but still relevant: I have also waited a long time for the additional records to be added, because they have been in the game files for a long time, but luckily they were added in 1.0.0.
Great mod, I love it!
There's a minor issue when selecting areas very far from spawn (around x=5,000,000 for example). The selection starts spazzing around and isn't cubic anymore. It doesn't have to be a large selection, just far away.
Any chance of a fix for this? Thanks!
This is not working for me. It keeps telling me that there's an error connecting to server
It keeps showing me this

EDIT: I noticed soething about a missing file in the error, trying to fix it now.
EDIT 2: It was a login error from migrating my account, so disregard this post completely. My apologies.
I had an animated water texture in my texturepack for a long time, but ever since Minecraft had official support, my texture didn't work. It's 32x32, 36 frames long, making the file 32x1152 pixels.
Depending on what I do with the texture itself (making it two rows or twice as long) and the .mcmeta file, different things go wrong (purple "missing texture" texture, 16x16 pixels but working, 32x32 but the animation stopping for a second every time it goes around).
I made the frametime 2 because if I don't the animation would be too fast (I know from when it doesn't give a "missing texture")
Does anyone know how to fix this or can anyone make a /mcmeta file that fixes this (I'll only need the contents of the file)? It would really be appreciated!
Squids. They're nearly useless and if you have an underwater base you can hear them moving on the dirt.
It's just that annoying. from hostile mobs Cave Spiders as they poison you.
Back in Alpha, a creeper blew up behind me and i had no idea why the world suddenly exploded.
It took me 2 more days to find out it was tose green things.
