Ok so My friend knew I REALLY REALLY liked this girl for 2 years so I tell him I am gonna try to go out with her. Before I get a chance he asked her out and got her. He promised he would not go after her and he lied.... :/ I am pretty sad and mad right now

Those two are some really "Different songs. The first one is what got them their record deal and is only 1 and a half minutes.
Second one is fast and melodic. I figured I'd show you some not so "mainstream" stuff.

I've always found a progressive melody to be nice. which can be found a lot in dream theater. I also like a lot of distorted punch to it. which is in pantera and disturbed. but they both come in different styles.
Did you ever get into Bullet for my valentine? They have a very distinct and strict style it seems like a lot of there music isn't very diverse.
I personally don't like A7X. I range from Rock & Roll to Deathcore & Death Metal. I mean I can listen to any genre within that range or such and have an open mind about it. But I usually listen to Post-Hardcore, Metalcore, Metal, Death Metal and Deathcore.
Yeah I get that. What have you heard from a7x? They started out as a death punk band and went to alt metal now getting into metalcore.
I can relate with Pantera, 5FDP, Disturbed and Dream Theater. And about DT, have you listened to Liquid Tension Experiment? Acid Rain is really good.

your absolutely wrong,i hate lyrics that are nothing but angry,doom, stuff about the end of the world,i prefer lyrics that are happy,fun,and uplifting,if you dont like that then your a very mentally ill person.

video games are different from a girl, With a girl you can show affection and care as well as friendliness and comfort and security.
I'm even worse now. I just got back from hanging out with her and I didn't ask her even when I knew there was a moment, I felt like I was going to throw up and cry, i felt just awful.
Worst part is I promised my friends (whom I got advice from) that I would ask her out today. worst part is that I told her that I had something important to tell her and she's getting confused now.
What I did manage to do was hug her for 3 -5 minutes strait (what interrupted was a cell phone ring) and get some arm on should/ cuddling but it pains me. vI also told her about how great, special, and meaningful she is.
Any one else have a best friend like this and ended up in my situation.
Bugger. Maybe sleep is a good idea. Everything feels better after sleep.
I'm trying. I can't get her out of my mind, which isn't a bad thing. In the past while I've figured out how I'm going tell her I have feelings for her.
Dude, music helps. Learn a new song, or just bash away at your kit. Playing my guitars helps me think things over more clearly. Right now I'm blasting some Anberlin and doing something I love. It normally takes your mind off things if you can get immersed in something.

Just do some things that brighten up your day. Listen to music, play an instrument, whatever you do to entertain yourself on a normal basis. If she is always on your mind, and you are going to ask her out, you should be confident, not depressed.
It doesn't help, Music always gets me emotionally going, Drumming is thinking time for me, I know I should.

I'm going though the same kinda thing after a series of increasingly unfortunate events. Only differences are that I'm a bit older (So I should know better) and that the girl I'm after I already have. Although recently I'm not too sure about that.
I've had unfortunate events as well, Sucks to be in our position.
