Hi there, I know this isn't exactly the right place for this, but i didn't know how else to get in touch with you. I just Joined the server today and played for 2-3 hours. I am now unable to connect (io.netty.handler.timeout.ReadTimeoutException) I was playing on the server, started lagging, and then noticed that I somehow had a Resistance effect. I got kicked a few seconds later and now that error pops up every time i try to connect. Any help would be appreciated.
Edit: IGN: trevrar
Edit 2: Scratch that, after a couple hours I was able to reconnect.
For anyone out there looking for an even more challenging Magic Farm 2 experience, here is a seed that results in a "survival island" style spawn. The seed is "Harvest Mine". This map provides a nice challenge with only one small oak tree, and two fruit-bearing trees to get you started. On the 2 small islands there is also the following: reeds, a small exposed ravine, exposed gravel (for tools), a couple spice varieties, and plenty of seaweed to eat. There is a third island in the distance, and slime islands in the sky to the south.
A couple of images
Challenge Ideas:
1. Fruit Friendly - leave the fruit trees as a food source, don't use for wood.
2. Insomniac - no sleeping, keep working through the night!
3. Thalassophobia - fear of large bodies of water. No leaving the 2 islands without a speed boat
(can't trust those shoddy wooden things...)
4. Trophy Hunter - collect all possible mob heads, and make a shrine on the islands.
5. Slime Pie in the Sky - 1. make your way to the slime islands. 2. ??? 3. Profit
Version Used: 1.1.7
Feel free to post with more challenge ideas =]
This pack is looking pretty nice so far. I really like the look of the stone, iron, and redstone lamps.
I'll lay out a couple issues/critiques i have here:
1. to me the sandstone looks too much like cobble, round instead of the more blocky default. I really like the rectangular cobbled sandstone look.
2. The texture transition on the stone bricks is a bit awkward. having the "mortar" on just one side makes it look odd next to other blocks.
3. It looks like the gravel texture is different in some screen shots. I like the look of it in the lower picture, it looks more like a collection of small rocks, and less like gray circles
Well looks like i'm a bit behind, but worth a shot i suppose =]

I think there might have been a bug generated from some McEdit work, and some of the chests are now empty. I will go through again and refill empty chests. There isn't a way to put the ice rod in the game. I may put it in later as an easter egg, but it served no functionality towards the map so i left it out for now. Same with the chris houlihan room. There may be a way to do it now that there are better mechanics to support it, but it would be a throwback more than anything.
i also had this issue, once i get to the bottom of the stairs in the secret passage, i can see the spawner effects, but nothing happens.
i assume you're supposed to be teleported instead of breaking through the wool? tried breaking through but no monsters/items in chests.
Warning to all players who don't have hundredth of a second reflexes: you'll never get past that level.
At the very least, make sure you have top of the line hardware (CPU + graphic card) to even try that level. Because Minecraft is definitely NOT a high-FPS quick-player-input-response-time environment, even with all video options set to minimum, this means it is essentially very bad for jumping games.
Please redo that level so that the difficulty of that level is not in the dexterity required for the jumps themselves but in the actual CHOICE and order of the jumps. Many jumps in that level require sprinting, diagonal jumps, and require nearly perfect reflexes and timing. etc. I strongly suggest making ALL jumps straight and simple, covering only 1 block gaps, heck most of the platforms to jump onto should be 2 blocks deep so that the risk of "overshooting by mistake" exists only in a couple places, not on each jump!
Even THEN such a level would still pose quite the jumping challenge *because Minecraft isn't a good game at all for jumping stuff unless you own badass hardware*. But at least, that way the difficulty would mainly lie in the puzzle aspect, not in the jumps! Especially considering that we have to succeed at about all 20-or-so of those insane jumps before reaching the top, without any way to "save" our progress midway, too.
I simply gave up after about an hour of frustration.
Since there is no way to skip a puzzle, this level which is essentially 99% insane-dexterity is effectively impossible for me, and that essentially breaks the entire rest of the map for me and for all players who are better at quick-thinking than quick-clicking.
Also, the in-game hint for that level is really but really really really useless. It tells to jump on the retracting block and another block would appear under it, while in fact the hint should be from above and not from sideways, and tell to jump on the block which protrudes, not the block which retracts, DUH. For a map that is otherwise pure genius design and originality, forcing the player to make so many jump-sprints, so many well timed and very precise jumps, on so many jumps, instead of a lot of very easy jumps with slightly more challenging jumps only in a couple places, that's a pretty stupid level design decision for a *puzzle* map.
For, is this really a puzzle map, where all levels are puzzles, or a puzzle map whicj mysteriously takes a Twilight Zone detour into platformer / parkour map territory for some of it's levels? Because if that is the case, then the dowmload page should have told so: "high intelligence AND dexterity required!" before sucking me in with 7 pure puzzle levels and then suddenly throwing me a game-breaking train-wrecking hammer like that.
I suggest you think about it, hard, because quite frankly this map generated *tons* of frustration for me, scores more than any "fun value" it otherwise had. I thought this was a puzzle map, not a test of my reflexes! I *already know* that my reflexes are bad, that is exactly why i play *puzzle* stuff, and never *dexterity* studff! That is why I play Minecraft, instead say Left 4 Dead. That is why I think your puzzle map is ruined by putting dexterity-based "so called" puzzles in it.
Such a hard-dexterity level has NO PLACE in an otherwise intelligent puzzle map.
there is actually a puzzle there. if you watch, the one block goes in, and another close one comes out.
makes the jump easier, no freaky fast moves required
edit: 2 sprint jumps required, the rest are do-able without sprint
Just installed most of these mods to play on my own world. I spawned near a volcano (pretty cool).
Started mining and stepped back outside for a sec and started getting attacked and blinded!! I'm new to these mods so i dont know what is going on. thought i saw black lightning but idk. also heard a wisp sound (evil wisp?)
Change EE2 to EE2ClientV1.4.6.6 and check version of other mods..
Also world 80 config files...
changed the ee version, already had world 80 configs, no luck
Edit: found the problem, forgot to copy the steves carts folder to replace the old one, fixed the id conflict
still not getting NEI to show up though =/ it shows up when i do just the .jar folder, but disappears after i add my mods and the new configs and run the world. maybe cuz i dont have the portalgun mod in..?
Minecraft has stopped running because it encountered a problem.
