posted a message on How do I change a biome?
i too am interested in something like this. the way i understand it is when a new update converts a world, the seed changes which screws up all the biomes in your world. now if there were a tool to find out what the seed of your world is before the update and another tool to somehow change the seed back i think it would work. but unfortunately i was not able to turn up much of anything to do that. the closest i came were some outdated mods that let you do world editing. one was a plugin for a bukkit server that was updated for 1.0 i beleve. ive also been trying to find a way to disable winter biomes alltogether because they **** me off. i can deal with other biomes getting switched arround but the snow and ice just become eyesores.

this particular try i only installed modloader minimap spc and biosphere. i did not see spc in the loaded mods list is this implying the biosphere and spc are not compatable. i thought spc was?

i was just looking at the mods page he did ransom it i guess then released the source code and someone else took up the tourch idk if there is an official mc edit anymore though

pitty, i could really use this. my 1.0 world gets the biome change/snow everywhere corruption when i convert it to 1.2.3 now, and i had just finished making a kickass mountan fortress..

with essentials you can change the game mode for a certain player i havent used it much because ive just started myself, but with essentials you can change your game mode to creative and fly that way. im searching right now for a mod that lets you fly with speed like you can in the single player commands mod.

posted a message on 1.2.3 bigger biomes
ive been searching for something to change the default size of biomes to be much larger than they are.
there are some mods that acomplished this for 1.7, but i cant seem to find anything that will work for 1.2.3 or even over 1.0 for that matter.

infinatebiomes was the name of the mod i found that acomplished this in 1.7, but it seems that development was stoped on it. on that mods forum page they seemed to be changeing values in the minecraft code. im not a programer, but if what i want can be accomplised by simply changeing some numbers somewhere, i think i can handle that. i think this is a great idea for a mod, it makes everything seem more vast and natural.

if anyone has information about a mod that can do this or another way to acomplish this goal i would appreciate any imput!
