Really? Oh well NewEgg made some money off of me. I don't think the R9 270 would work on my motherboard however. I did some research and what would both fit and work with my PC.
Don't really have a budget. However I did just buy the PC and I just dropped $250 on the 7850 and PSU so the X4 620 will need to last me for a little while. Thanks for the help guys.
I only play Minecraft on PC. What motherboard and CPU combo could I go with? Or are there any CPU's I can upgrade to without a motherboard? Thanks for the help guys.
Picked up an older CPU for dirt cheap and have decided to build on top of it.
PC specs.
HP P6214y
AMD Athlon II X4 620
Motherboard: Pegatron Violet 3.0
8GB of Ram (upgrading to 16)
Parts I bought for computer.
VisionTek 900505 Radeon HD 7850 2GB 256-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card
CORSAIR CX series CX600 600W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply
My goals are to run Max settings while multitasking the PC.
I'm 99% sure the other parts are compatible however figured I would throw this up to my fellow Minecrafters for help. Thanks for the look and help guys.
Thanks for the cake!!! I don't believe I'll ever build something this large and detailed ever a gain in survival. Luckily being on a multiplayer server with friends I was given many donations to build with. Several hours of mining were done weekly. Now I just need to buckle down and finish the rest. Keep an eye out for future builds guys.
Thanks guys. We decided to use mainly Acadia with a few spruce and dark oak roofs to have slight variety. Our goal was a simple design on small scale hence some of the roofs looking plain. Also in our story for the area it is now spring time. The ice is melting and we made some really nice ice borders along the coast. Thanks for the support guys we really appreciate it.
Really nice building style! The detail level is awesome in almost every place (there are a few where it isn't needed because it draws attention to a not very focal spot) P.S The weird water tower is odd
Haha thanks. I agree a few areas are over detailed but I was developing as a builder at the time. Finding the right balance is key. I've learned a lot over the last year. I appreciate the support.
Nice builds but on the castle, the tower in the back seems really plain. maybe change it up a little.
Actually plan on it. The entire back of the castle has a lot of work to be done. It needs more depth and detail and I will address this in time. Thanks for the support.
Actually only the right tower got a full roof. The others I wanted to have a squared off top. The "ruins" were just a place holder for a future building site. Here is an image of the roof. (honestly it was the most difficult part)
and there is still work to be done. I got burnt out on the project and moved on to newer projects. I plan on going back and finishing some of the unfinished portions but I poured a massive amount of time into this project.
