I have a new job and lots of creative projects to work on so I can't dedicate any more time to this, and I feel I have done what I can for this project. So I am officially shutting down development on this mod. I will also be releasing the source code so people can pick up where I left off. Thanks for supporting Minecraft Texture Studio
This is a LIFE SAVER. I was searching for five hours on how to change sounds, and I nearly gave up, but then I found this. I put it all together, and I feel so much better! Only problem - I put it on, and instead of replacing the sounds, it just made everything silent. I checked inside the folder, and the files were playing, but in-game music was nonexistent, as well as records. Any idea what happened?
Probably because the sound file you put in can't be played by Minecraft. You need to convert them to ogg format
The program will not work with the jar set to the exe file. The error that is thrown there says that the program can't use the exe as a jar file. Look in the versions folder inside .minecraft, and you should find folders with minecrafts jars in them
That's fine. It was a pretty obvious idea to me too. Quite a few people have made such a program. I think multiple implementations of the same idea can coexist
You just need to click "New" and the program should set everything up for you. If there are any parts of the process (such as drawing on a texture, or choosing a sound file, or any other specific task) just let me know.
Hey guys! Sorry it's been a while since I last made an update but I have been really busy.
But I have finished version 1.0.8 which includes blocks for 1.8. Once I get back into the swing of things, I am gonna be adding more features, such as 256x256 textures.
I do not know what I am doing wrong, but I cannot seem to create x256 textures using this. The itty-bitty window that you draw in (and on the 3D model itself) only allow me to make x32's... any help or suggestions? (btw, running windows 8.1 and your program has no problems in it with my setup... great work!)
The program is not optimised for 256x256 textures. I will look into it and see if I can put a better way to do it into the program! Thanks for the suggestion!
Wow this is really cool! i may use this for my story-oriented let's play or maybe a custom map.
I think MapItemEdit will work great for that! Why don't you post some screenshots here when you have done it I would be interested to see the results of my program in action
Hi, I love your program! One of the things I use it for the most is a large project I have, where I take the .dat map files and export them as image files, so I can create a huge composite map of my minecraft world. I haven't seen any other program that can do that.
The only issue is that I can only export one map at a time, and the world my friends and I play in is over 6000 maps large, at the base zoom level. That means that it takes me a long time to export all of the maps, and is quite tedious.
I was wondering if you could add the ability to convert multiple maps at once? I don't know much about programming or coding, so if it's too much work for you, I understand. Thank you!
That's a good idea! I am about to upload a new version, but I will definitely put your idea into the next version!

What OS are your running? Do you have .net framework installed?
