    Iron golems are driving me crazy. They often spawn outside their spawn zone. Also if they spawn outside, they always spawn on eastern area of village. I enter the village on eastern side, i have fence gate there. Do golems count fence gates as doors?

    I created village for both trading and iron golem farming. Entire vilage's size is 36x36 and golems spawn zone's size is 20x20, including walls (zone's size in one direction: wall - 8 blocks with flowing water - 2 holes - 8 blocks with flowing water - wall). I have 3 stones in each corner 1 block above so that i can have flowing water.

    Wiki says that they spawn in center of a village in zone 16x16. I think that all blocks inside zone are valid (stones with flowing water are at the same height as stones where are doors). The first line of doors are on outhern side or spawn zone's walls. Don't explain rules for valid doors, i know this.

    How and why do they spawn outside?

    I won't start another thead with question about dispenser with water.

    How can dispenser stop flowing water automatically?

    To say more what i want: when items will go into a hopper, comparator and repeater will repeatedly (de)activating a dispenser. When hopper is empty and redstone isn't active, dispenser should stop flowing water, but it doesn't. Well, it stops if i throw 4, 8, 12 etc. (number which can be divided by 4) amount of items into hopper. This is like lever, we have to use it four times to stop flowing.

    I'm creating this thread because i'm not allowed to post this to my another one related to zombie pigmen, no posts were there during one month, that thread is officially "extremely old". Very beautiful rule. Well, never mind.


    Has potion of invisibility effect after i attack zombie pigmen? I know that i have to remove armor, is there something else i have to do before using the potion?

    Now i know about 33x33 detection range, i will remove villagers from corners, and place them to center of every side, this way locked villager have 32x16 detection range, not only 16 x 16 if it's in a corner. My village's size is 34 x 34, but doors are in 28 x 28. Distance from an outer wall to a door by inner wall (=wall of IG spawn zone) is 7 blocks.


    Edit: i just did what i wrote before. I opened fence gates and, as expected, most of them from east went to west.

    If almost everyone is on western side, of course they can't see / detect doors on eastern side. I tried many times with pushing villagers to east but they always returned to western side. I have fence with gates now as a border to prevent pushed villagers to move from eastern half to west. I will backup the game, open the fence gates and i expect that they will move back to west.


    IronMagus, locked villagers are on same height. they are locked with fence and they can "make love".

    What do you mean with "all of the doors are within 16 blocks of a villager"? If a villager goes 16 blocks away of a door, this door in no longer valid door? Weird.... Please, explain your text. Look at my image copied from excel, you can imagine size of the village.

    All my doors are valid (this says Village Info mod) and i have sometimes max amount of villagers.


    I did a little change to village. I placed a fence and few gates in center from north to south (from left to right, if you look at my image) and pushed many villagers to east. This was my stupid way to remove villagers from western side.


    Is there any (or none) rule to define home and its door for villager? For example: is home for a villager that one where he spawns as a kid or where he become adult? Don't reply with "lol" or "wtf" :)

    Look at attached image which shows how my created village looks like. The problem is that most of villagers are standing below roof on western side of the village and iron golems (i will use IG abbreviation) are spawning outside or their spawn zone. It seems that IG spawn center is average location of all villagers.

    I thought that IG spawn center was calculated upon center of distance between all villagers, that's why i locked one villager in each village's corner. But this doesn't work.

    Why are almost all villagers together on western side? Lightning is everywhere the same. I use ladder to enter the village.
