If you buy it you must download it from the internet. If you want to play single player, im pretty sure you dont need a connection. But if you want to play multiplayer, which requires an internet connection.
Wow. I thought I was the only one with this problem. I have been searching for a solution but none have popped up. I have a mac as well and recently installed permissions and then started my server and got the super long java error, etc.
Uninstalling so far hasn't worked so I'm stumped.
So if anyone else knows what's wrong please help us
Okay so just the other day I connected to my server along with some friends. All was fine. Today, again, I connect fine (after the 1.5.01 update). So basicly I walk down into my base and open my furnice and try to take some cooked meat. At that moment, I freeze. After about 5 seconds Minecraft shows a text box about the size of my screen but is gone in a instant. Then Minecraft closes and my server states: Tankhitcher lost connection: disconnect.endOfStream
I try reconnecting but I get a bad login error. After restarting minecraft I try again and the same thing happens. To try a simple fix I re-download minecraft as well as the minecraft_server.jar Again I join but this time I try mining the furnice and once it would disapear the same crash occurs.
I am currently using a 2005 iMac (i think its that old) updated to 10.5.4
I belive I have 2gb of Ram
Minecraft 1.5_01
Server 1.5
I am also using Mcpatcher to run my Custom Painterly Texture pack ( if that matters)
