Looks like the alligator crash I saw reported on page 3 is still happening (on the Ferret Business modpack)

Can someone list some 1.7 packs (ATL or FtB) that have this mod? I've always enjoyed playing this, but I don't see it very often any more.

I also got that crash after 5 minutes, then every time I loaded the world. I loaded a backup and went back to play in 27b.

Ditto. Annoying thing though is that these snapshots don't seem to be independent, as when I moved back to 27b each powered rails on an incline is now turned up rather than down the slope as expected, and I'm sure there'll be other bugs.

So, mobs spawn in the nether under y=30 or so. Nothing above, unless I add a half-slab. Any blaze spawners spawn ok, but again, half a block above and an unknown distance to the side of where they 'should'.

That building in the background contains a simple blaze spawner, where a lot of them end up suffocating in a wall/ceiling or escape the container that worked perfectly before.

Also, any zombies that spawn when you are fighting zombie pigmen spawn with no problems OFF the half-slab (maybe they spawn half a slab above the floor and drop?) ie. on the original floor, so it seems there's a different mechanic for that type of mob.

Too much work, and I'd rather find the exact issue rather than resetting. Fix the cause, not the symptoms...
My thinking atm is that this HAS to be an entry viewable in NBTexplorer; like a too-high light value, or a displacement of a y-value somewhere (I base that on the way the blaze spawners are operating - blaze spawn half-buried inside the ground surrounding the spawner)

I'd already tried the gamemobspawning command with no effect.
Moving into new nether area allows for mob spawns. I did notice that in the old area, near a blaze spawner, the blaze sometimes spawn halfway inside the ground. Makes me think that I inadvertently moved everything up one block or something, but the y-coords are still the same for various waypoints I have.

edit: noticed that deleting the largest .mca (r.0.0) region file allows for mob spawning everywhere. Of course, I lose too much of my nether setup to use this option.

    Yes, that was it, thanks.
I was following a guide which said I should be in chunk view rather than camera view. Chunk view didn't allow me to use the filter button, camera view does.

So i successfully reset everything and can play again in 26c. Thanks. New problem is that there are no nether mobs, except those from spawners (blaze). Light levels are at 0 as expected, I see no relevant setting in NBTExplorer. I even reset lighting in mcedit for the whole nether with no effect. A new 26c map spawns them fine; moving to peaceful, then back to Hard has no effect either. I assume it's something that happened with mcedit when I was fixing my map as I see no-one mentioning this issue from maps started pre-26c.

Loaded up a world with the latest experimental (and last stable) mcedit. However, I cannot seem to use the Filter button (it is red, unavailable). Chunks are selected, and there is a filters folder in the subfolder to where mcedit.exe is run from.

Can't find anyone else having this issue (the common fault is because people forget to select chunks before trying the filter button). Any ideas? (I just know this is going to make me kick myself ;) )?

Disappointing release. Much worse desync between boat and player than anything I've experienced before. Took me 4 attempts, with 2 crashes to travel 250m in an ocean near my base. Attempt would end up near base, but I'd be unable to get out of the boat. Relogging would result in me being right back at the start.
When I did finally get back, I found a few of the new water mobs near my sea-base, but no structure.
Inside my base, a chunk got reset.
Mobs when being struck experience a lower gravity - they kind of float up and back. Arrows fly a lot faster too. Maybe these two aren't bugs, though I hope not, the lower gravity thing especially.

Just played this for the first time, via SolitaryCraft. Fantastic mod, good job.

I notice on your changelogs from earlier revisions, there are "hidden" areas like the secret room, baj's farm etc. How are they recognizable as such?

Before I decide if it's worth going further, can I ask a quick question? My world (created in 1.7.2) is exhibiting weirdness when I enter the End. I cannot interact with anything (I can place a torch, but breaking it does not create a dropped torch. Almost like creative mode. Moving around anywhere works, but cannot escape the End - I just sit in the portal). Saving and exiting out, restarting just starts where I was before. Latest mcedit, repair world works occasionally (the few chunks around me are sometimes "interactable", but never for very long, and currently the last few tries have ended up with no change at all using that method.

I can edit the player.dat with nbtexplorer to change the Dimension to 0 and escape back to the Overworld, but re-entering the End has the same issue - within a few blocks, I can't interact properly. Cannot hit endermen, and breaking placed torches has no drops.

edit x2: things SEEM to be OK now that I've started using the latest snapshot instead of 14w03b (which is the last one to have witches spawn in witch huts).

Looks like terrain gen has changed - my witch hut setup is now filling up with regular mobs. Super appreciate the heads up in the changelog on this one...

everything looks great but I have tried three times generating worlds and spending several hours flying about plenty of taigas and extreme hills but not one Mesa, or Jungle the other new areas are tiny but taigas are huge and extreme hills are abundant. maybe the generator needs tweakin? or am I just having really bad luck?

Ditto. I've spent a couple of hours flying around on 20 or so new seeds and not one mesa or jungle. WAY more forests and extreme hills than before. I seem to be cursed with birch forests. *ugh*
