I bought minecraft after pirating it. Encouraged a friend to get it as well. Bought it when it was about 15 dollars, cost me 2 weeks of allowance to get it. Yes, 2 weeks, because of the horrid economy in the country I'm living in and the conversion of it to dollars is expensive. 20 dollars? About 3 weeks of allowance right there (college student). I have two other younger siblings who play minecraft on our personal server and I don't have the money to get it for them yet. It kinda sucks if we can't play smp anymore on 1.6 :/

Anyways, I've been using this texture pack since 1.3 and is one of my favorites. It has a clean and unique style to it. I'm loving that new title too. :]

Getting a crash. I think it may have something to do with Optimine, but I'm not sure. (I'm no expert at looking at Error Logs)
Minecraft works fine and so does the patcher as far as I know. But when I open Mod's and Texturepacks button, and as soon as I click a texturepack, it freezes for a few seconds then crashes.

I'm having the same issue. When I select a new texture pack, minecraft hangs for a few moments, then crashes. When I re-open it, it has applied the texture I selected, at least.
I'm also running optimine so that is a likely suspect I suppose. Which is a shame as it helps keep my laptop cooler while playing MC~ other mods include modloader (duh), convenient inventory, and Nature Overhaul.
Any help/fix would be very awesome :smile.gif:

Unfortunately I haven't had the time to test it out and see if it IS optimine causing it. I'm also using MCPatcher 2.0 still, maybe it got fixed?

Did the same thing, when I open the game the texture pack I selected before is now selected. So select new texture pack - game crash - tp selected on next game start.
Reinstalled without optimine and works like a charm again. Hope this helps.
