Do you own the old Xbox one Edition of Minecraft? If you own it, you can transfer the worlds. The legacy version/old version is no longer sold. Even if you own it, you can't transfer DLC packs, only worlds.
If you don't own the legacy version, you may ask your friend and see if they own the legacy version, then convert and send it back to you.
So, there are technicaly three type of ervers. LAN, Realms and Public. Since there are two types of Minecraft, Bedrock players can play with Bedrock while JAva can play with Java. LAN minecraft can be enabled through settings. Realms can be bought through the MInecraft website. Public servers can be installed in Java through https://minecraft.gamepedia.com/Tutorials/Setting_up_a_server or Bedrock by installing PocketMine/Nukkit.
Well, Mojang made realms to make servers easy to run.
I mean, this must be complicated. It has settings just like in server.properties. And also, you need whitelist page, agreeeing to the EULA and others. That's why Mojang did not made it.
Indeed, there is no version called Bedrock Edition. I have seached it. There is only Minecraft:Java Edition, Legacy Console Edition and Minecraft(Bedrock).
What about changing the Pocket Edition to either "Minecraft" or "Minecraft(Bedrock)"?
Since the Better Together Update, Xbox One is joined into the Bedrock Edition. So, all Xbox One forums are under the category "Minecraft Pocket Edition".
I sincerely hope that they can change the word "Pocket Edition" to "Bedrock Edition" since it is now unified and an official name for Pocket, Win 10 and Xbox One.

villagers will mate as long as the population is less than 35% of valid doors, rounded down.
A valid door is any door within the village radius where the number of "outside" spaces within 5 blocks in a straight line on one side of the door is not the same as the number of "outside" spaces within 5 blocks on the other side of the door. A space is considered to be "outside" if it has nothing but transparent blocks above it all the way to the sky.
The game engine periodically takes a census to determine the current population of the village. All villagers within the horizontal boundary of the village and within 5 vertical blocks of the center will be counted as part of the population to determine if continued villager mating is allowed. However, any villager within the horizontal boundary of the village and within the spherical boundary of the village will attempt to enter mating mode as long as there is at least one villager within the boundary. If two villagers simultaneously enter mating mode while they are close to one another, they will mate with each other and produce a child.
The food can only be given to empty inventory villagers.

There are two types of Minecraft, one is Bedrock, the other one is Java. Bedrock is playable on WIn 10, Xbox One and Mobiles. While the Java can be played on all Windows, Linux, OSX and Free BSD. If you own a Java Minecraft, you can have a free WIn 10 (Bedrock) through this website. http://support.xbox.com/en-US/games/game-titles/minecraft-windows-10-edition-faq#a9355224a14d40d7b82608a6d3f9046d
